USSR that came into existence in 1921 collapsed in 1991 under the leadership of President Gorbachev. America so managed the collapse of USSR by still allowing the concentration of power, weapons and armament in the hands of Russia, as to avoid proliferation of those weapons, at the expense of the other 15 republics that made up the union of the USSR. We must all remember that Ukraine was a key independent nation member out of the four nations that formed the Union as a result of the 1917 revolution. They had always been independent and had never been an appendage to Russia .Where then did the agreement of not allowing an independent Nation not to be independent enough to take an independent decision, of association, choice of friends of what have you. Prof, I need more elucidation.

If the war would have ended within six months, it would have ended with Russia annexing Ukraine. In other words, Ukraine would be no more! My most loved Prof. Lumumba, you skipped the events of 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea. That was way before Bidem came to power.
