Step 1. Kill scurrius and rip out his spine 2. Do Olaf's quest until cave access step 3. Use brine rats as a new alternative to rock crabs step 4. Get hella xp and the occasional brine sabre worth 300-400k (price fluctuates 100k)

I never really tried bossing before, and decided to give this ago and went alone to try it, unknowingly going into the public option for Scurrius. And I managed to get it done about three times, and I was like damn, this is HARD, why is everyone saying this entry level. Then realised I was an idiot.

Any reason why osmumten's fang isn't on the weapons list? Haven't been around for a while... has it been nerfed?

The Fang is good against monsters with high defense. Its attack speed is slow, and its Max hit is decreased, but it is extremely accurate. So against monsters with low defense (like Scurrius in this case) the Fang is lower DPS than cheaper, easier to obtain weapons. The Fang is lower than the whip, but higher than the Dragon Scimitar for Scurrius. So it still works, but I don't really suggest it

It's not "bad" but it's not a good as cheaper options, like the Tentacle or even the new Zombie Axe

can I be honest? for any newer players watching this... get the barrows gloves, its really not hard. 175qp isnt hard believe me. 175qp unlocks lunars, ancients, arceus spells. very well worth it! :)

seems like good xp and good mechanic training. heck even the loot doesn't seem bad for an ironman to HA or even save some armor for Giants Foundry. Definitely not a fast money maker but a fun one

A lot of the higher level bosses can give VERY good XP rates, but this is a great stepping stone that the game needed no doubt

5kc seems low with max cmb. But usually you don't get long trips when you're first learning a boss

The dragonbone necklace is like 80k right now and gives same stats as fury minus the def and a heavy prayer bonus. So way better option than str amy.

I would love to try this boss out but all my lvls are base 50. Well Att,Str,Def But my range is lvl72. Any tips with only lvl50def?

Having 50 defense does mean that it is more important to make less mistakes, but that's good for practice. You should be always be aiming for less mistakes of course, and the low def might force you to do it, or not survive the fight. I think you should be fine at 50 defense (that's around the level I was at on the account I did this video with - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmjNZJ2dqbKSnZo ) If you feel like 50 Att/Str/Def isn't quite doing it at Scurrius, you could send Ammonite Crabs on Fossil Island for like 5-10 more levels

Phantom Muspah, Vorkath, and Zulrah are all consistent, solo-only, money makers that can give you more practice for bossing gains. Phantom Muspah is the best money maker out of those 3, but whichever one looks the most fun for you, is the one you should send. Go nab yourself a fire cape if you haven't yet! Should be able to breeze through it. And by breeze I mean your stats and knowledge should be good at this point. Just gotta get through your nerves and get used to the fight caves.

The spec would work, but overall you'll prolly get more DPS by using the Dragon Dagger spec

Don't use the Fang here. Scurrius already has very low defense, and Fang is meant for high accuracy, but it's a slow weapon with a decreased max hit.

Lots of regulars who look out for my guides appreciate the detailed info. I'd rather continue to make detailed guides then just try to make them more popular by skipping out on info that some viewers may have needed. And the main point is the time stamps. I make chapters in the video so if someone only needs to know how to fight the boss, they can skip to that part. But if they need more information about gear, that is also in the guide
