Scurrius is a new Mid level OSRS boss that is designed to help players learn bossing mechanics, and get some solid XP rates.

Haha I truly understand your point. Been playing off and on for handful of years. Every other guy walking around with max gear telling me “xyz” content is easy… it is when you can just buy all your gp lol.

@@badbumrash2328 it would make the mid game less tedious. Can't tell you how many times myself and friends have gotten to the mid game and just stopped playing because the grind was tedious and boring.

Yeah NMZ is great for AFK, but sometimes it's fun to actually play the game LOL It is sweet to have a more engaging fight that's good for XP

can I be honest? for any newer players watching this... get the barrows gloves, its really not hard. 175qp isnt hard believe me. 175qp unlocks lunars, ancients, arceus spells. very well worth it! :)

I never really tried bossing before, and decided to give this ago and went alone to try it, unknowingly going into the public option for Scurrius. And I managed to get it done about three times, and I was like damn, this is HARD, why is everyone saying this entry level. Then realised I was an idiot.

seems like good xp and good mechanic training. heck even the loot doesn't seem bad for an ironman to HA or even save some armor for Giants Foundry. Definitely not a fast money maker but a fun one

Step 1. Kill scurrius and rip out his spine 2. Do Olaf's quest until cave access step 3. Use brine rats as a new alternative to rock crabs step 4. Get hella xp and the occasional brine sabre worth 300-400k (price fluctuates 100k)

5kc seems low with max cmb. But usually you don't get long trips when you're first learning a boss

It's not "bad" but it's not a good as cheaper options, like the Tentacle or even the new Zombie Axe

The spec would work, but overall you'll prolly get more DPS by using the Dragon Dagger spec

Fang is usually better for bosses with high defense. It still hits well here, but it's not as good as some cheaper options like the Abyssal Tentacle, or even the new Zombie Axe.

Phantom Muspah, Vorkath, and Zulrah are all consistent, solo-only, money makers that can give you more practice for bossing gains. Phantom Muspah is the best money maker out of those 3, but whichever one looks the most fun for you, is the one you should send. Go nab yourself a fire cape if you haven't yet! Should be able to breeze through it. And by breeze I mean your stats and knowledge should be good at this point. Just gotta get through your nerves and get used to the fight caves.

What about the fang as a weapon?

Fang is meant for bosses with High defense. It's very accuracte, but a slow attack speed and decreased max hit. So it's still a good weapon here, but it won't do as well as some of the cheaper option, like the Abyssal Tentacle, or even a whip

This guide has chapters, which you can use to skip to the exact part you need. I don't see the problem here

Don't use the Fang here. Scurrius already has very low defense, and Fang is meant for high accuracy, but it's a slow weapon with a decreased max hit.

@@jodysmith2779 There are cheaper weapons that do more damage here than the Fang, but if you wanna keep using your Fang go right ahead Fang is meant for High defense bosses. This is not a high defense boss

Just because you got all the info you needed on the 5 minute guide, doesn't mean nobody else needed more info. If you only needed the 5 minutes of this video that talks about how to fight the boss, why don't you skip to that part using the chapters?

And yeah I know that's not what you asked me, I gave you an example of a shorter guide that gets to the point with the really prudent info as a means of answering your question better than I could with words. Lots of regulars who look out for my guides appreciate the detailed info. I'd rather continue to make detailed guides then just try to make them more popular by skipping out on info that some viewers may have needed. And the main point is the time stamps. I make chapters in the video so if someone only needs to know how to fight the boss, they can skip to that part. But if they need more information about gear, that is also in the guide
