The 8 Most Profitable Mid Game Money Making Methods! [OSRS]

Making money in oldschool runescape can sometimes be difficult if you don't have high level stats or money to start. So today I wanted to cover my favorite mid game money making methods.
Most players in osrs are realistically somewhere in the mid game. So I think it is definitely important to have a decent selection of mid game money makers that are actually profitable. Today I have 8 methods that cover a wide range of content in the game. From PvM to Skilling there should be something here for everyone.

One note about Forestry, you can do a bank standing moneymaker in Seers or Draynor and when an event spawns you can participate in the event. Almost making it a double money maker.

Protip for killing Rex: find a world with people already in the cave, preferably multiple. Just jump in there with them and run to the safespot and hop. With maxxed players tribriding all 3 kings for you it's so easy to get to the safespot with no damage.

I miss the days where anglers were 2k each. I don’t remember what it was per hour but it was pretty good, and afk. Kinda needed spirit flakes but it maintained a bond for me for a while. Now it’s probably shit af, 300k per hour or some crazy shit.

@@izuru6164 the xp per hour for fishing anglers is like 20k xp though. If you want to train fishing do legit anything else. Yea you get xp, but at the rates at anglers it legit feels like you don’t. I went from 89 to 90 fishing just fishing anglers and it took like a month

you should have mentioned the Dark Lure spell on the Arceeus spellbook. it needs the Kingdom divided quest, but its a waaay better spell than entangle as it drags them towards you

For forestry, do it at Priff (teaks or any other) and you get crystal shards for a little extra cash, and if you do what i did to get 99 wc on my main, you can also catch the crystal imps that fly by. I got over 60 of them by the time i hit 99, so it's not as rare as one may expect.

im not sure why, but ive noticed a sudden increase in value in guam pots unf. i could buy 10k grimy guams at 218-250 gp and make pots into a value of around 600gp per pot. I was able to make a 6M increase but going through 10k guams took about 2 days. may be something for ppl with low herblore to look into for afk money.

Maybe it's a coincidence but price of oil has been dropping since that video. Price was steady @ 3.2k for over a month before this video, started to decline on Dec 5, and has been on the decline ever since currently sitting @ 1.7k per oil

Iban’s blast at Rex is an old ironman meta, these days it’s probably better to bring a warped scepter (or a trident on a main account) and bring blood spells to heal up on Rex.

for low level just feather arrow shafts, as a high account i still do it a as long term investment, i’ll buy 5m-gp worth of feather and 4m-gp worth of shafts as one my long term investments. if your lucky world hopping and buying feathers and shafts off people and you should get a at least 100k feathers and shafts pretty fast and make some good money/xp for a low level.

it's effectively 2.5m per hour in the sense that it only takes 5-6 minutes of activity to make 150k profit, but you can only do that once every 80 minutes.

I tried Forestry but I must be doing something wrong. Played for 3 hours of woodcutting without seeing a single event on world 444. Was in Draynor and WC Guild. Tons of other people there and we all had kits equipped.

Just set the invocation level to 0 and do it solo. You get unlimited deaths and free supplies every time you die.

Another tip for rex, by having a trident equipped you can use blood spells for heals to extend your trips, bring an alt to load off the bones and other items you have picked up and to resupply food and potions (Theres a lower level trident thats dropped by warped tortoises but i forget its name as its pretty new to the game and that could work in the same way the trident does for example allowing you to stay on whatever spellbook you chooose but isnt as powerful)

To add to this make sure you get the alt in the right spot ON ANOTHER WORLD othereise you risk bringing the mager to the safespot so get to the melee safespot on a world where theres a group/solo already taking on the three kings at the same time and then just log out/x log once in the safespot. You can also if you dont use alts you can suicide an inventory of food and potions at the safespot and theyll stay there for an hour, gravestones carry over to different worlds (test with a inventory of junk if you arent sure if this is true) so you can die there with food then get back on another world to resupply when its convenient to you. (Though its also worth noting i dont use the death pile mechanic as im a filthy medium/endgame iron and i dont even know if death piles spawn in the dks room as ive never died there) Another useful note is that gravestone timers pause when you dont interract with your client or if you log off so dont panic if you die and your internet goes out

I wouldn't consider these mid game money makers other than potentially afking dags, if you're looking to actually break the midgame do things like zulrah and vorkath and maybe add a couple skilling methods (sepulchre early floors, gem mining and stuff that progressivly pushes you and your account into and out of the midgame. Otherwise you will forever be doing these mindless tactics not really acheiving anything.

I personally have tried most of these and its either not nearly as much profit as advertised or a loss because chances are hundreds of people got the info before you and ruined the pricing by binge buying shit. So far, at mid level, I have only found 2 methods of money making. Theyre slow but pure profit and im not sharing them here so they stay that way.

I think its a waste of time to do sub par ”mid game” money makers. Pick a high value money maker and rush towards that. Every hour you spend making money without gaining exp is an hour you could have invested into the future of the account. The only exceptions id say are flipping and herb runs since they require so little time.

herb runs also give some farming xp, not a lot but it is still passive xp that progresses your account so that's not even an exception but yeah i agree with this. Stuff like shades of morteon would be ok for like 1hr just to afford some basic teleports but beyond that you dont want to put time into a lot of these methods. These methods are for bots.

It's only 'erb in Murica, where the "h" was dropped by the original French speaking colonists at the time. Everywhere else speaking proper modern English (and hasn't learned English from American teachers) pronounces the "h" as in the original Latin word, aspirating the "h".
