Look at 'em go!! Putting in a lot of feeling to what they're playing!!! Giving the "88" a brand new meaning!!! That's how people performed back in the day!!! Be nice if they played that way today!!!

Very relaxing! From one of Ed's anniversary shows. Ferrante and Teicher's record of this song bubbled under the Billboard Hot 100 at 124 in July of 1964. They made 3 appearances on the Sullivan show. "The 7th Dawn" is a movie starring William Holden, Capucine and Tetsurō Tamba. The theme song was written by Riz Ortolani & Paul Francis Webster.

How I miss Ferrente and Teicher! Rich, lush, musical compositions the likes to never be heard again; except on KZbin and records!

Ferrante and Teicher are fantastic! A three minute tv concerto for free, imagine being there in person listening this live, as someone commented. Reminds me of "Maestro".

Nice to see these guys again. I’m a musician and I recall a three week period in the 70s when I did their show with the Canton (Ohio) Symphony, a week later the Northeast PA Philharmonic and shortly after I got a call to sub with the Pittsburgh Symphony to play their show again. I remember the look one of them gave me when they walked on stage and saw the same guy in the trombone section. Kind of a “where am I again?” long time on the road moment.

When I was a young girl, my mom had quite a collection of vinyl LP's; one of which was Ferrante and Teicher. I don't remember her playing the LP. Years later, I have seen them on TV and, more recently, on KZbin. They were very impressive pianists. They are a joy to watch play.

Beautiful music... I haven't seen the movie it belongs to, but the performance of the duo on the piano plus the orchestral accompaniment seem superb to me...

Thanks for this excellent video…I only wish that Ed’s show could have been filmed in 4K color with the upgraded audio. However, seeing that it will be 60 years in about 3 months…I’ll have to enjoy one of my favorite piano acts as it was taped. Have a great day!

Very ... bombastic. Orchestra and choir less than stellar, song itself eminently forgettable. Not my bag!

They went to the Julliard School of Music. Pretty cool kind of bombastic.

@michael0.770 "Touche!"👏👍 (I had to look up the meaning of "meh" to find out it means unimpressed and unenthusiastic. Too bad that sourpuss had to "rub it in."🙈😬😫 (You mispelled JUILLIARD.) Respectfully😊😊
