I have to say: I absolutely love that the EFL channel posts all these highlights to youtube. As an American fan of league football, it's almost always been exceedingly difficult to see any games or highlights without doing absolute technical gymnastics. Showing every game's full highlights is a godsend after all these years.

The referee had one very poor spell (the Charles sending off) and here's why. Charles does foul the keeper (stupidly) with an arm around the neck but the ref has allowed play to continue because ball-in-hand is better than on the deck. BUT then the keeper kicks out at Charles (PENALTY). The referee doesn't seem to like punishing retaliation so instead awards the free-kick and dishes out a second yellow (and therefore red). It's CLEARLY a change of mind from the referee because if he was going to give a player his second yellow he MUST stop the game and give the free-kick, which he didn't do until the keeper kicked out! At this level and upward I've always thought that referees must explain decisions on camera.

What an utter joke of a ref, the last time we had that ref, he sent off Charles that time too, and that was because Kachunga punched a player, not even Charles. He should banned from being a referee, when he is this totally incompetent.

I haven't seen the full match but both incidents were deserving of a card. Even thought that his challenge on the ankle could be straight red. Holding the keeper when he had the ball is indefensible, mate.

Spot the Fleetwood fans! There are more stewards than Fleetwood fans. It was a different story when Wigan played here four days later. They filled the south stand and rocked the stadium with noise levels, that would have probably made a jet plane inaudible as it flew over. Wigan also won 4-0 ! Come on you Latics:

I am not a fan of either club. The first red card was absolutely justified, check the new rules about time wasting etc. It was obvious to anyone with a modicum of understanding of the game, exactly what he was doing.
