How the Gaza genocide will lead to Israel's collapse, with Shir Hever

More than eight months into this genocide, Israel is losing the war between its army and the resistance on the ground.
Israel’s own economy is in shambles, as more and more Israelis leave abroad for good and as its high-tech sector collapses.
“I think that what we’re seeing is, first of all, that this Israeli military doctrine has flown out the window,” political economist Shir Hever tells us on The Electronic Intifada Podcast.
“There is no doctrine right now - what we have is a collapse of Israeli society. It is a social collapse. It’s also psychological collapse, [and] it has to do with the fact that Israelis have lost connection with reality,” he adds.
Hever is the military embargo coordinator for the Palestinian Boycott Divestment and Sanctions National Committee (BNC) and works on its #ShutDownNation campaign.
Hever, who lives in Germany, is the author of The Privatization of Israeli Security and The Political Economy of Israel’s Occupation.

I am a South African. We have so much work to do and I don't want to minimise the pain of those economically left behind, but it is so much better. Our kids go to schools together, we can fall in love, cheer the same sports teams, help each other through floods and tornadoes, work and study together, speak each other's languages. Just two weeks ago it was my son's turn to organise a hike for his scout patrol- they hiked 10km along the Durban beaches- kids of all races, friends having an adventure together. It wasn't possible when I was his age. They do, sometimes, but any number reported is a _lot_ lower than the actual number of casualties. I think a battle with Hamas in northern Gaza a couple of months ago, was reported by Israel to have four casualties on their side, while Hamas, as shown in a video here on EI, killed ten soldiers during that attack.

I’d have to be check to be sure but I check in on Israeli media often and I’ve never seen any reports where they say who they are. They lie so that they don’t look as bad as they obviously would look and to not upset their own public bc there would be a major uprising if Israelis really knew. They would all lose their minds over this.

He shows videos provided by Hamas showing numbers of casualties that Israel never reports after their news reports on those specific battles. It NEVER adds up. I guarantee bc you see in their videos them picking up identification of dead IDF soldiers so they are keeping track and release names when Israel keeps lying.

Speaking of Israel's “security”, I'd just like to mention something a little odd that I noticed a few years ago when Stephen Harper was Prime Minister of Canada. Harper is an evangelical Christian, I'm sure you're familiar with this movement, they worship Jews and Israel and believe that Jesus will return to rule the world from Jerusalem once the Jews have managed to take over the whole map of ancient biblical Israel. Harper had a large number of Jews on the Supreme Court of Canada, an anomaly. The strange thing I heard at the time was that Harper had some kind of joint “security” agreement for Canada with Israel, which is not really conducive to national sovereignty. Whatever deal Harper has with Israel to allow it to spy on Canada for “security” reasons needs to be dismantled.

The whole thing is treason, but public school does not educate for this level of knowledge, so they have been getting away with it (so far).
