I'm so happy that Ellen had a Thor costume for his daughter too. When I was 3 I wanted to be Batman on Halloween. Although my parents were totally fine with it and got me a Batman costume, when I was wearing it, I felt that I had done something "wrong" because of the adults' reactions around me. They would look at the princesses around me and tell them to spin and they looked so beautiful, and they would tell the boys wearing hero costumes that they looked strong, but then they would get all awkward when they saw me. I felt so ashamed I was a princess for halloween every year after that.
