If you don't have a freeze dryer the oven does parsley really well, I did mine on a tray for a short time, maybe 4 to 5 mins @ 100 deg C, its kept the colour just like yours and still looks and tastes great after about 6 months, (keep mine in glass containers too ) thank you for sharing all your trials and tribulations from down under

@@tipgiles5432 We also have a longer growing season in TX. It's one reason I won't budget for a freeze dryer - we can basically grow year-round. Heck, I've still got tomatoes growing! This fall/winter is going to be crazy.

Beautiful! Parsley was often used to increase the appetite of elderly folk, a handful is good in a smoothie. You can freeze it chopped or make a parsley sauce. Rosemary also makes a soothing tea for a headache.

Parsley is biannual, which means the second year they throw up a flower stalk and very few leaves. I often leave it to reseed, but you won't get much harvest off of it the second year. Therefore I always start new plants in the spring. I prefer the Italian flat leaf variety.

You can use the full length of the Rosemary stalk with it's herbaceous needles attached. Cube lamb or beef and string them on to the Rosemary stalk, interspersed with pieces of onion, peppers, and or marrow etc....Make your own meat skewers directly with those tall Rosemary stalks, and BBQ them! Absolutely delicious! Pull forward, not against the growth of the leaf needles, to take your ingredients off the stalk. 😁👍Enjoy!

freezedryer costs between 2 and 3 k ....( I like how She says : "it's an investment ".😂.... )yiiikes !it grows well here in Northern CA in mountain area in a green house and survives temps in the low teens , occasionally even single digits , realistically for those of us who can t spend this amount ,if you have a green house or some hoops over your growing beds you can, in most parts ,have enough fresh parsley through the winter .
