I❤this. Growing up we had “summer school” at home. Each of the 7 of us had to teach the younger ones what we’d learned in school the previous year. As a result,all of us were pretty much straight A students.

I always brought books and workbooks above my children levels and now my oldest granddaughter all were in gifted and honors classes and my granddaughter is in the second grade and she attends a gifted school once a week and she just 4:47 got accepted in the Magnet Program for International Studies

This reminded me of my upbringing. I’m 58 and I remember having work books. My mom always bought me books to read as a minor. She believed in education. I carried that through to my children. I purchase educational products for my grandchildren. Learning doesn’t stop even at my age. I was always a step ahead. I believe in the parents are the first teachers. We had to fight for the right and folks used to hide when they learned.

I agree you’re never to old to learn I went back to school after being out 30 years and got my associate degree in culinary arts and management. I got my bachelor degree in supervision and management but 5 months after I graduated I had 4 strokes. I’m currently working on gaining my independence back and although I doubt I will be able to run a restaurant but I’m definitely working on some cookbooks

Thank you. You all are on it. I’ve seen 4th graders whose printing looks horrible! Pleas teach them cursive writing. The schools have taken that out. Got a few 5th graders who don’t know their times table or how to multiply a two digit number by one digit. Makes me wonder how they even got that far.
