Refrain from arguing will be in issues like sunnah and mustahabat, not in issues of aqida . Believe in Allah and last day and books and messengers and destiny and angels - all these cannot be compromised and left without arguing.if you read Quran almost all surahs contains arguments between Allah his messengers and disbelivers or hypocrats in important issues . All surahs full of sayings like- “they (disbelievers)say such and such, say, (o , Muhammad )to them such and such….” Would you say then stop arguing to Allah and his messengers? Again in differences between mazhabs we should not argue its waist of time cz even scholars argue and couldn’t come to complete agreement. But in issues of shirk and tawhid - we cant be quite . Its not sign of good manners and being a good muslim . Its sign of hypocrisy

Shaykh Yahya Al Nonowy said the Prophet is alive in alam barzakh. Everyone of us will go to alam barzakh when we die and live there. Indeed we move on to this world but we lose all contacts with those we leave behind. So would the Prophet SAW. Because barzakh means there is a wall (barrier) between the dead and the living that they leave behind. The verse where it is mentioned and explained is below: Al Quran Surah Al-Mukminun 23, Ayat 99-100 حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ - 23:99 لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَائِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ - 23:100 فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ - 23:101 Translation: [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. This is the Ayat of the AlQuran that the Shaykh should be expounding, instead of a snippet "he worries about you" without reading the entire verse.

Our Prophet. Mortal or Immortal? VERDICT OF QURAN Regarding him being alive and listening to us, the Word of Allaah, the most truthful of speech has cleared out the facts for us. Allaah says in the Holy Qur.aan (meaning of which): {And we granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad), then if you die would they live forever? Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good. And to Us you will be returned}, [Soorah al-Anbiya, Aayahs 34-35] And also: {Verily, you (O Muhammad) will die, and verily, they (too) will die}, [Soorah Az-Zumar, Aayah 30] And who can forget the historic speech of Abu Bakar as-Siddeeq (radhi-yallaahu 'anhu) except the innovators! But he who worships Allaah, He is Ever Living and He never dies)) Allaah says: {Muhammad is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)? And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allaah, and Allaah will give reward to those who are grateful}, [Soorah Aal-'Imraan, Aayah 144] Ibn al-Musayyib said that 'Umar had said: ((By Allaah, as soon as I heard Abu Bakar say it, I fell down to the ground. I felt as if my legs had been unable to carry me so I collapsed when I heard him say it. Only then did I realize that Muhammad (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) had really died)), [Bukhaaree, 2/640, 641] It should now be clear to every Muslim that the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) no longer lives in the life of this world. That takes us to the second point that needs to be addressed: Does the Prophet of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) possess independent knowledge of the unseen? The Word of Allaah states (meaning of which): {And with Him (Allaah) are the keys of the Ghayb (all that is hidden), none knows them but He}, [Soorah al-An'am, Aayah 59] {Say: None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghayb (Unseen) except Allaah, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected}, [Soorah an-Naml, Aayah 65] {Say (O Muhammad): I have no power over benefit or hurt myself except Allaah wills. If I had the knowledge of the Ghayb (Unseen), I should have secured myself an abundance of wealth and no evil should have touched me. I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings unto people who believe}, [Soorah al-A'raaf, Aayah 188] {Say (O Muhammad): "I don't tell you that with me are the treasures of Allaah, nor (that) I know the unseen; nor I tell you that I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me by inspiration." Say: "Are the blind and the one who sees equal? will you not then take thought?}, [Soorah al-An'aam Aayah 50] {This is a part of the news of the Ghayb (unseen, i.e. the news of the past nations of which you have no knowledge) which We inspire you with (O Muhammad). You were not with them, when they cast lots with their pens as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam (Mary); nor were you with them when they disputed}, [Soorah Aal 'Imraan Aayah 44] {And I (Muhammad) do not say to you that with me are the Treasures of Allaah, "Nor that I know the Ghayb (unseen); "nor do I say I am an angel, and I do not say of those whom your eyes look down upon that Allaah will not bestow any good on them. Allaah knows what is in their inner-selves (as regards belief, etc.). In that case, I should, indeed be one of the Zaalimoon (wrong-doers, oppressors, etc.)}, [Soorah Hood, Aayah 31] {This is of the news of the unseen which We reveal unto you (O Muhammad), neither you nor your people knew them before this. So be patient. Surely, the (good) end is for the Muttaqoon}, [Soorah Hood, Aayah 49] {This is of the news of the Ghayb (unseen) which We reveal by Inspiration to you (O Muhammad). You were not (present) with them when they arranged their plan together, and (also, while) they were plotting}, [Soorah Yoosuf, Aayah 102] {And they say: "How is it that not a sign is sent down on him from his Lord?" Say: "The unseen belongs to Allaah Alone, so wait you, verily I am with you among those who wait (for Allaah's Judgement)}, [Soorah Yoonus, Aayah 20] {Say: "None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghayb (unseen) except Allaah, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected}, [Soorah an-Naml, Aayah 65] Anyone holding any belief contrary to the above points then he is on total misguidance and to hold on to such beliefs actually constitutes Kufr and Shirk as it negates one of the foundations of Tawheed! Yes, the Messenger (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) was given knowledge of the Unseen, in certain incidents, but it did not originate with him, it came from Allaah, who gave him this knowledge in certain situations and incidents as a miracle and as a sign of his truthfulness as a Messenger from Allaah. {(He Alone) the All-Knower of the Ghayb (unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghayb (unseen)." Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (angels) to march before him and behind him}, [Soorah Jinn, Aayah 26-27] But whoever claims that the Prophets and Messengers have independent knowledge of the Unseen, then he is upon Kufr, and refuge is sought in Allaah. But the Innovators, like the figureheads of Jamaa'at-ut-Tableegh who allow this falsehood to be taught and to remain, do not understand, or merely pretend not to understand the likes of these affairs, which are as clear as daylight in the Noble Book of Allaah.

Kanashto Salamun Aleykum brother. First of all it does not matter if we speak arabic or not. Unfortunately there are so many native arabic speakers do not understand the Holy Quran and ignore Islam and convert to other religions. Allah give them hidayat insallah. Secondly, In the Quran there are so many expressions. For instance, in the english while we say "It is raining dogs and cats" it does not mean the rain the water it self became as a dog or a cat. It means, it rains a lot a lot. Or if I say to you "Do not leave my high and dry ok please" It does not mean wash me with I dont want to stay dry right :) It means dont leave a bad situation. So In English while there are so many expressions in Arabic there more expressions too. May be even more. Arabic is more detail and ( More beautiful surely :) ) then English and any other language. Besides, our Holy Quran was written super high level arabic so, thats why today there are so many schools are teaching high level arabic, In most of our countries, mostly low level arabic is spoken. While most people can read and understand the daily news, some people do not understand vividly the New York Times or any poet from Sheakspear. Insallah you got my point. Some of the expressions with hand yed in arabic: Yed-i tula long hand means have a great ilm Yed-i kudret Tasawuf of Allahu teala. Yed-ullah (Hand of Allah) Help of Allah kudret Yed-i emin ( Emin hand) trusted person As we see here "yed" has been used not from the original name but with the expression. Not only this there are other things too thats why we need to read the quran in any language with tewsiir. Otherwise if we read the Holy Quran like we read newspaper and try to figure out things then there will be religion as much as human beings. Every single person will understand different way. When the Messenger of Allah (saw) passed away in Madinah, Omar ibnul Khattab (ra) gave warning that he will cut off those who were saying that the Messenger (saw) is dead, because he said that he just went off like Musa (as) when off and returned. Abu Bakr (ra) admonished him and said; "Those who worshiped Muhammad, Muhammad is dead, and those who worships Allah, Allah is alive and will never die." Then he recited an ayah in the Qur'an as if it was the first time that Omar (ra) heard; "Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. The Koffar of Quraish also believed in Allah (Azza-wa-Jall), in fact the name of Prophet Muhammad’s father was “Abdul-Allah,” and when Rasul Muhammad was asked about his father’s destiny, he said he was in the fire. The belief and practice of the koofar of Quraish were very similar to Shia branch of Islam. To talk to dead for intercession is nothing short of Shirk. Kabbir Shirk. It is worst than Idol worshiping. All sins are subject to forgiveness by the Generosity and Mercy of Allah (Azza-wa-jall) except Shirk. A Mushrik is Doomed. Unfortunately, this evil of shirk in not only limited to the Shias. Khan Majid, The word Shia is in Quran, an example was Prophet Abraham who was mentioned in Qura'n specifically as the Shia of Noah: “And most surely Abraham was among the Shia of him (i.e., Noah)” (Qura'n 37:83) Surah 37, Verse 83: وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ (Notice that the word “Shia” is explicitly used, letter by letter, in the above verse as well as the following verse.) In another verse, Quran talks about the Shia of Moses versus the enemies of Moses: “And he (Moses) went into the city at a time when people (of the city) were not watching, so he found therein two men fighting, one being of his Shia and the other being his enemy, and the one who was of his Shia cried out to him for help against the one who was of his enemy” (Qura'n 28:15) وَدَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِ وَهَٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِن شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ فَوَكَزَهُ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِينٌ [28:15] In the above verse of Qura'n, one is named the Shia of Moses (AS) and the other one is named the enemy of Moses, and the people at that time were either the Shia or the enemy of Moses (AS). Thus Shia is an official word used by Allah in His Qura'n for His high rank prophets as well as their followers. If somebody calls himself a Shia, it is not due to any sectarianism, nor any innovation. It is because Qura'n has used the phrase for some of His best servants. The above verses in support of Shia, has used this term singular form (i.e., one group of followers). This means that it has special meaning, such as: THE Shia of Noah (AS), THE Shia of Moses (AS). Also in the History of Islam, Shia has been specially used for the “followers of Ali”.

I think the first thing that needs to addressed is that brothers need to establish five times daily prayer. Then they need to stop the shirk ie. grave worship and wearing amulets because that is something Allah SAW will never forgive. Looks like both are right. Bilal was only referring to the state of body death as happening to every human, and as mentioned in Quran about every living thing and especially about Prophet (S.A.W.W). But in the life of Barzakh, all humans are alive. And as the status of Prophet Muhammad (S.a.w.w) is the highest and so as he is in the afterlife...

I mean the Companions of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). They were the best of this ummah: the purest in heart, the deepest in knowledge and the most straightforward. Allah chose them to accompany His Prophet and establish His religion, so recognize their status and follow in their footsteps and adhere as much as you can to their example of conduct and attitude, for they followed true guidance.”

From the comments, the only reason people want to believe that the Prophet is alive is because they want ask for his intercession. They want to believe that our good deeds are being vetted by Muhammad before these reach Allah. They want to believe that salvation is through Muhammad (just as Christians believe salvation is through Christ).

Bilal philips - "If the prophet is alive that means the sahaba did a sin by burying the prophet who was alive" Who the hell ever said hes physicaly alive????? He passed away but is spritually with us in his grave for the bodies of the awliya are not touched. So that would make bilal phillips accusing people of things they dont even believe in.
