Ketchikan might have been the final stop on our Alaska RV road trip, but it quickly became one of our favorite cities! From the historic Creek Street, to delicious seafood and amazing wildlife (seals, salmon, bear, eagles, and more!), we had a blast exploring Alaska’s first city 😍

HEY! That's my hometown. Glad you caught it on a nice day! If you want to get attacked by seagulls while eating, you have to go to the mall parking lot. Someone feeds the seagulls french fries and there can be hundreds in one specific corner of the parking lot. :) Also, totems are a hugely alive art; if you'd gone out to Saxman you could have seen Nathan Jackson's workshop. He's a world famous Tlingit carver who has totems in major museums all over the world (and one in Disney World!).

There is an Opal shop on Creek Street. The owner mines opals in Australia in the winter and sells them in Alaska in the summer. He also rents out part of his shop to someone who carves driftwood into masks and sells them. My wife and daughter have opals and I have two masks.

I wish I could tell you that this week was better, but when I said last week was awful I was referring to the overall news, and as I am sure you know, it didn't improve. But your Friday videos still are heart warming. Hope Eric's mom is doing OK. I think one of the things I enjoy the most of your videos, is how you portray your partnership and marriage. (I do find it fascinating that Eric always seems to have at least one, usually more than two, shots, of Allison's behind as she is walking.) Hope the ferry ride is OK, and Thanks.

Hola...I went to Alaska for three weeks and rode my bicycle around from Anchorage to Seward through Turnagain Arm into Hope Junction and into Homer and back to Seward and grabbed the train back to Anchorage and rode from Talkeetna to Denali , got evacuated because of the fire at the park and got dumped off in Talkeetna and rode for 6 days in the rain around Denali State Park to Trapper Creek and back to Talkeetna and I wanted to say that I used your videos as information points and I really appreciate your content and how effervescent you both are. Your filming is a lot of work and I know it as I do everyone in a while some small reels but nothing like you both do. So, thank you for this channel and I appreciate your content. Stay well and safe and it is great to see you both been such prolific travelers. Cheers.

From what I have heard, it's the kind of place where the locals have a '100 shades of waterproof' in their wardrobe. But kidding aside, I'm sure, Ketchikan would be my personal pick because this is where you can fish for salmon, shop for souvenirs, and dodge raindrops all in one afternoon!
