Great explanation professor, thanks a lot for these efforts. Just wanted to make a simple reminder about the gerund, gerunds are formed by adding the "ing" to the verb, but they are not the ing verbs that we see in the present or past continuous, they look the same, but gerunds are verb forms used as nouns. Thanks again professor and keep it up 👍

Hello chaimae! If you're a BAC student, you don't need to worry about meanings of such sentences. Only follow the rules presented in this video. However, if you're an advanced learner or majoring in English studies for instance, then you should know that verbs/ expressions followed by both gerund and Infinitive can either have no difference in meaning or slight difference. In regards to the example you're inquiring about, both forms can mean the same thing ... doing the action of the verb which follows 'remember'. (In this case 'tell'.) Ex. Thank goodness I remembered to tell you to buy eggs. Otherwise I wouldn't have all the ingredients to make the cake. and Thank goodness I remembered telling you to buy eggs. Otherwise I wouldn't have all the ingredients to make the cake. (This sounds a bit more informal/colloquial to me, personally.) However, the sentence with the gerund can have a different meaning, that is, the remembering of a past event/remembering that you did something: Ex. I didn't think there was any way you could know about me having an affair. Then I remembered telling you about seeing my old girlfriend from the university... Hope this helps.
