possessive vs nonpossessive switches i love it, one of the things we struggle with invalidating ourselves is our switches feel like becoming other people instead of "ah yes. i have left the front and now i am inside and i am eating lunch inside on a log" and for 7:00 our system is polyfrag and we have a lot of trait holders. for example: Jon is a paranoia and anxiety holder, Corinthian has a higher pain tolerance and a lower 'bullshit' (his words) tolerance. the system as a whole has crippling anxiety but if Jon fronts for a long period of time we're going to be in a paranoia episode. Corinthian is our host and ive seen him look at a pretty bad scape on our arm and go "....ouch. thats unfortunate' liKE SIR-

This is Fishlegs from The Pizza Brigade system. Watching this is SO fascinating! I love hearing what experiences from other systems is like and the parallels between those systems and ours is such a fascinating view. It's been a pleasure hearing from all of you! And yes, I'm the Fishlegs from How To Train Your Dragon. We've been watching a LOT of that stuff lately, both from the movies and the shows and me, along with the Twins, just kind of ended up splitting off and becoming our own thing! ^^

omg the way you describe other alters having their own energy and the sensation before you guys switch is exactly how we experience it. it's so hard to describe, we usually just say it's a "vibe" but as you were talking about it, i was like ik exactly what you mean!

I totally understand what Daniel was saying about the feeling just before crying, or other similar sensations that bridge the gap between emotion and a physical sensation, and how each alter has a different feeling to them. Sometimes when we're figuring out who is fronting, it's a little bit like holding up different color swatches to a wall until we find the one that matches most closely, except instead of color, it's those physiological sensations.

Oh my gawd, the movie question... I literally had the experience of just watching a movie, trying to describe a scene I saw in the movie literally the same day I just got done watching it, and then being told "What are you talking about? That didn't happen." I had a bunch of other people describing the exact same scene I was talking about but with completely different details. I went back to rewatch that scene and found out they were right and I was literally remembering something that didn't even actually happen. At least not the way I remembered it happening. It was in one of the Transformers movies, and I'm going to remember this even worse now because I haven't seen it recently but I think it was in Age of Extinction or The Last Knight, there's a scene where I thought Bumblebee was in the back of a line of cars and one of the Decepticons shot a tracking device on his rear bumper as they were driving away. But it didn't make sense to me because later in the movie Drift finds the tracking device and removes it but he finds it attached to a completely different location of a completely different vehicle. Where I was corrected is that Bumblebee was actually in the front of that line of cars and the rear bumper was for a regular car that wasn't even a Transformer, it never attached to Bumblebee at all. The vehicle it actually attached to doesn't even look like Bumblebee. Apparently I was just dissociating during the movie and my brain will some times make up shit to fill in gaps in my memory so that I don't notice.

Are there any of you who really don't get along with each other? Or just get annoyed with each other and fight in the inner world? I could see it sometimes maybe being like when siblings or friends fight in a TV show. I've never really fought with anyone or had disagreements with anyone like that so I was curious if anything like that goes on in the inner world. (I'm a singlet but I found out a few months ago someone I'm close to has DID so I try to learn a lot about it.)

YES!!!! THE QNA'S ARE RIGHT FUCK YEA!!! You look great Dan! Aaaa the ears are so cute! Ok the "making self care easier because its taking care of us and not just me" makes so much sense, I'm the exact same way. Can I do stuff to take care of myself, nope, can I do stuff to take care of others, absolutely. "Blitz existing really threw us off"- Oz 2024 "Wyn doesn't have a gender anymore" mood Now I'm really curious to see how everyone walks different. Oz really isn't used to having a body this man is just like "things are touching me and it's WEIRD!" Idk why but when Oz said "At night we sorta keep an eye" I thought he was gonna say like y'all just go around the headspace and see who's there, like "ok it's bedtime time for evening headcount!" Wyn feeling a split happen like"I feel a disturbance in the force." Poor Blitz trying to split off during that week just like "aaaaaaaAAAAA!" "As alters that tend to be more protective, lol can't relate." Blitz being slightly salty about how he was greeted is hilarious, this poor man.

I’m struggling a lot with EMDR. We have Aphantasia, and wondering if that’s why we are having no progress a year later 😢 feeling very down about EMDR not working. That’s the only thing we can think of. About to bring it up to our psych. But I’m scared she’ll take it personally as it’s her main favourite type of healing. But it’s just not working. I’m scared to lose this psych as she saved our life. But idk what to do! How long did EMDR take for yall to see a difference. We see difference with grounding but nothing else. Our parts won’t even come into the session. Ugh and I’m front stuck blendy. Any advice would help? Just from your experience with therapy and EMDR mainly. ❤ thank you

Are splits usually/always "born" to deal with a problem?
@cosplaymistake
@cosplaymistake 9 күн бұрын
No, Sometimes split can even happen for a bunch of different reasons, Sometimes it’s from an external problem sometimes it’s from an internal one sometimes splits just happens
@castaway2850
@castaway2850 9 күн бұрын
technically there’s always a reason for a split, even if the system doesn’t know what that reason is. it’s usually done in response to new trauma or a stressor that the brain perceives as needing a split to deal with (and sometimes a brain’s perception doesn’t exactly match reality).
@JeniJustJeni
@JeniJustJeni 9 күн бұрын
@@castaway2850 @cosplaymistake Would a split ever happen in response to some desirable station? Or perhaps what is desirable or undesirable might vary within the system. Wyn seems to view splitting as negative, is this because it represents emotional labor or because it's associated with something negative happening and the existing system was unable to handle it? Like, fusion make Wyn more "typical" so a split feels like they are getting farther from typical? Or some kind of setback? Please understand that I have no opinions regarding a split or fusion in general (although I miss Lito). I'm just trying to understand. I know fusions aren't just absorbed into the system, but rather into specific pats. Is it the same with splits, like a split off of Daniel? Or maybe whoever is in control of the body is the one who splits? It's all so intersecting.
@TheEntropySystem
@TheEntropySystem 9 күн бұрын
Splits can only happen in response to trauma or extreme stress. It is a coping mechanism that the brain develops in childhood and maintains throughout the life of the system. Splitting isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it never occurs for happy reasons. -Wyn

That was so interesting! I am also a Dissociative Plural System and I also have autism, which actually, makes my memory VERY VERY STRONG, stoopedly, undeniably, sometimes distressing, exceptional memory (I think we also practice lots of daily and momentary reflection, that helps a lot with integrating memories in a way that no one is too distressed !), it wasn’t always that way though - when I was a teen/going through 💩, my memory had lots of wholes, I would loose huge amounts of information- days and weeks, I also live in a war zone atm, and I have been experiencing lots more Memory dysfunction, yet still, somehow, my brain remembers SO MUCH, it is not always so good, often times, it makes me suffer a lot. I wonder if there are other Plurals out there that have an exceptional memory, even though they do definitely have lots of dissociative symptoms.

I'm curious if the whole system have autism or just one or a few alters. You don't have to answer that if you don't want or don't know
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace 7 күн бұрын
@@kinashy8863 such a good question, I am still yet to have a formal diagnosis, so I grew up habing one alter hyper aware of their autism (I am talking young young ages, 5 or so), since that alter has experienced a lot of discrimination and ableism, they were the “autistic” alter for lonnnng. However, almost in the way that Wyn described becoming gender fluid, the more we got educated both on ourselves and what autism is, what masking is, and how PTSD (and specifically Devlopmental trauma, Dissociative disorders) correspond, and how often girls on the spectrum and other “lower support need” folks also develop high high masking levels, and how it also affects the sense of self, slowly, all of me became autistic, even the Alters who were “neurotypical” in the way they communicate, has discovered their autistic identity. Different alters have different abilities though, sometimes. But the more I grow, the more we get together, the more the Autistic identity becomes more accessible and accepted by different alters.
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace 7 күн бұрын
I mean, I only truly discovered myself at age 22ish, as a trans I can describe it very similarly, I always were, and parts in me always knew and were very very aware and much more educated about Autism in general yet kept is in secret, not just from my close circle, but also from myself, my other Alters, and on.
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace 7 күн бұрын
I am sharing this because I actually know multiple folks irl who experienced similar stuff, and I know how I really did feel validated, when I heard some people had just a specific Alter taking care of the autistic identity, and how others developed high masking mechanism, and how much it impacted their mental health, and often trauma disorders. The Rates of trauma in the Autistic Community is significant, its not wonder how different folks experience unique Self-Awareness. Even if you were to have an Autistic alter, just one, it is very likely, many folks who experienced Developmental Adversity may relate to the autistic experience in their own unique way, at the end of the day, neurodivergent individuals have unique experiences.
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace
@GuyBelievesInWorldPeace 7 күн бұрын
But I do also advise getting involved with the autistic community, never tell yourself you are or are not autistic if you relate to autistic experiences, if you feel like a core experience of yours is Autistic Related, you may as well be, and I will suggest to find a way to reclaim your autistic experience and identity if you have it. No one can take it away from you, even if they claim that they know you and that you don’t seem autistic enough to them, they may as well be uneducated or under denial. Never let stereotypes. Keep you down.

After DID is developed in childhood, the brain maintains the ability to split for the rest of the system’s life.
