A Link to the Past is one of the first video games I beat, and left a big mark on my life. I do have a big love for it because of that. I do love Minish cap, too.

Surprised Oracle of Seasons/Ages isn't on the list. Also, Link's Awakening has probably the saddest ending of any game in the franchise. And unless you pull off a non-death run, everyone but Link dies.

@@Bluesit32 If only it was that simple, except it isn't. The Windfish is basically a god a step above the three goddesses of Hyrule. It's dreams have a will and life of their own, which drives the whole plot. The "Nightmares" want the Windfish to sleep forever as if it wakes, they die. The villagers have no clue they are living inside of a dream, and the point that Link learns that they are inside of the Windfish's dreams is a WHAM! moment and a half, and at the time you have no idea if Link will live or die if the Windfish awakens as he is inside of the dream as well. The only way Marin survives if you perfect the game is because the Windfish grants her wish. Everyone else, except Link, the Windfish and the Owl, dies.

No, you need the sand Rod from the town dungeon in order to do the desert dungeon

You couldn't. You need the raft to even access dungeon 4. And there were dungeons where you needed the ladder to progress through the dungeon. You also needed the bow to kill Gohma, which was the boss of one of the dungeons, and also blocked the way in another dungeon.
