Until then we need to boost Andris’s subscribers so that he can be financially prepared for that day. This channel deserves a subscriber following way beyond 32.2k. A job can be done either the right way or the wrong way. If it is done the right way,just forget it has even been done. If it is done the wrong way 4he head ache will make us rember not doing it that way again. As long as it is done with lots of violence and grease! Remeber greasing your shaft Andris! All of them. As much as possible! If you grease the bottom rollers atleast you will prevent some of the dirt to accumulate inside and soil your shafts and push out that which have entered and you dont want your shaft to be soiled. 🤣🤣👍 Great thanks

My dad was like you and always making parts for machinery and his sawmill among other thing. He always said that grease is the life fluid of all moving parts. He also said to regularly grease those parts. So if you would just grease all the fittings right before use. That will push out any sand or grit in those home made rollers increasing the life. Yeah I know...such a bummer to do it every time you use the thing but believe me it works. Looking forward to your Friday video release.

How are we so blessed as to get 2 videos in 1 week from the Estonian “Macgyver” (an old American TV show from the 80’s where a guy could make anything out of nothing, like he could make an intercontinental ballistic missile out of a toothpick, duct tape, and a wooden match). I guarantee that weld will hold……..until it don’t. And if it does break again then just tell it to “piss off”. It would probably be better to keep the rollers greased because that will keep out the larger stuff that would do damage quicker. Plus every time you grease it, it will push the dirty grease out. That’s my theory anyway and I’m almost always never right.

I would agree if it was a daily use piece of equipment. However on a budget I applaud the ingenuity to design and implement solutions using scrap. No doubt there will be a day when the big investment is required. Until then let’s call on our friends and family to boost Andris level of subscription to fund the purchase. 32.2K subscribers is way below the content and sarcasm value.
@mm9773 Жыл бұрын
To be honest, I’m with Rick: I would like to see what a new sprocket looks like, and if the old ones are really that badly worn, I would have bitten the bullet or tried to save up for new ones. But on the other hand, we must remember that life is suffering, and we need things like ziplines and dozers to alleviate it.

Yes Sir good day to you.. i thought i would leave you this idea for your construction vehicles.. Maybe you should consider adding led light bars all around the exteriors of the equipment.. it would be especially handy at night and even more in the winter at night if needed.. also for heat inside your equipment in the winter. You could use a Buddy Heater which uses liquid propane canisters as a fuel. Which im sure would be especially great in the winter again.. lastly as a project for the future. Maybe you should consider a Koi Pond on yur property. You already have a water source which you could use to circulate fresh water through ghe koi pond year round . Add a few benches and its a great area to sit and relax and even barecue around with family.. ooops i forgot to mention maybe you should consider a solar system to add lighting around your property also which again be great for night time security and you could also add security cameras around critical areas and driveways to your property adding more security and protection... just some ideas i thought i would share with you.. i greatly enjoy your content and know you look for vb ideas to do to keep content coming. I am curious about how the roller was originally installed and meant to be removed. I would never wish to be critical, but I think the washer is not hard material and may bend, allowing a weld to break. This much I know for sure - if something does happen, you will fix it again and make it even better. I know that!

I would say it depends on the type of use on whether or not you should run your rollers dry or greased? If you travel a lot from digging spot to digging spot, then greased might be the way to go. If you only travel short distances and dig for longer periods of time, then dry would probably be best. Though, with your modifications, it's hard to tell since it is non standard and you'll have to see the wear patterns over time? On the other hand, even if you wear more, you said you rebuilt them for only a hundred bucks or so. So another rebuild at several hundred more hours doesn't seem like too much of a price to pay for whatever kind of wear you end up with?
@Ants_Pants Жыл бұрын
