This is a dark day for Britain. 348 Labour MP's voted IN FAVOUR of stopping the winter fuel allowance. 53 labour MP's were complicit by abstaining to keep their well paid jobs or not voting at all as 'too busy'. Only ONE Labour MP had the guts to do the right thing along with all the other parties who voted to keep this pensioners lifeline. These labour MP's are the same ones who just 18% of the population voted for, & who who recently voted themselves a £10,000pa pay rise. The same group that gave a £10,000pa pay rise to their union comrades. To add to this dreadful litany, a senior female labour cabinet minister has only recently put in a £3,700 expenses claim to heat & power her SECOND home. So 12 pensioners freeze to death, so Missy can heat her second home - and ALL from taxpayers money. Sounds very much like "we are all equal, but SOME are MORE equal than others". Its only two months into their reign. Lets hope we'll still have 'free' elections in 5 years time. If today is anything to go by, I doubt it.
