Like "If I Were A Boy" Angelina has a number of versions of this song apart from her original introduction last May (found on James Thiels channel). Toby Gad has a version that is from her LA concert where he uses the desk audio coupled with some professional video. Then he and Angelina have also brought out a jazzy version that is audio only at this stage and can be found on Toby's YT channel. My fav but all versions are great. Nice reaction. The jazz version will blow you away.

This is a great pop version of this song. But the best is the most recently released version from Toby gads piano diaries. It is slowed down and jazzy and has been charting around the top 10 on iTunes top 100 jazz songs. By the way, IMO, the very best performance of this pop version is on Toby dad's channel from the Glendale concert, an incredible live performance.

Thanks for your reaction. Angelina and Toby Gad performed this song live at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles last May. It was the first time we had heard of the song. However we now know that the song is actually about 2 years old. This pop version was recorded in 2022 when Angelina was still 16. It was finally released 3 weeks ago, the day of her LA concert. Toby Gad has also posted a live performance of the song from the concert. Then last week a “jazzy” version of the song was released. A totally different take. Some say that the jazzy version is the best version but “best” is subjective. It’s a matter of personal taste. It’s an incredible performance and I love all versions as they are very different.

Regarding your reaction to her performance of If I Were a Boy, I wouldn’t say it’s the “worst” version. It’s an actual live performance in the church which takes advantage of the acoustics. There are two other officially released versions of the song, one is a similar version in the church and another version with her walking the streets of London. That second version has more contemporary instrumentation. Both of those versions are studio recordings. As far as best, worst, again it’s subjective and a matter of personal taste.
