The first time that I saw this video and heard the song I cried. I lost my mother at the beginning of 2016 and it has been a difficult year for me and my brothers. Our mother was the one who took care of everything, and even thought we are adults we are still in our early twenties with my younger brother being 21 at the time of her death. You now how the teach you math and science and all the other crap at school, but they don't actually teach you how to be a responsible adult and how to do the stuff that adults do. Most of the time you learn that by yourselves, but sometimes your parents teach you. That was our case. I love this song, every time I hear I think back to my mother and the pain that I feel since she left this earth. It makes me feel, when most of the time I don't feel nothing. Keep up the good work guys, you are amazing!!!

When I heard this song on Spotify, it made me cry and when I saw the video, I understood why - I mean even the lyrics are very relatable to me, but the video shows pretty much what my family's going through right now. Two and half years ago, my then 1,5 y/o daughter got tumor on both of her kindeys. We went through half year lasting chemotherapy and she got part of both of her kidneys removed. She was getting on with her life, preparing for kindergarten, finally being able to play with her relatives and enjoy her life while this year, 1,5 years after we finished her treatment, now at 3,5 y/o she got a relapse of her tumor in one of her kidneys - just 4 months ago... the treatment we're going through has to be much more intensive given it's a relapse, and also one of her kidneyy had to be removed... we're still hoping for the best, but just seeing the music video, how they are on the bed where she used to lay, in a room where she used to dance/play... with her on their minds... I can relate to that SO much - we've been there multiple times and it's really the darkest feeling I've ever been through. You see other children playing in the playground and you just wish you would see your child there, playing... instead of being in a hospital for weeks in a row only to be at home for one week and then go back to the hospital... for several months... it's tough... hope we won't get as far as they did in the video - at least we've got hope...

I recently lost my mother. We kind of had a love hate relationship. Ever since I was 9 she got sick, she lost her eyesight and overall her health declined over the course of 10 years. We would fight. The last two years of her life were the worst. We fought constantly, but nonetheless we loved each other. I dropped out of school to care for her. I became her unofficial caretaker at the time. Seeing your mother become this small sick person hurts. She was angry but I dont blame her because of all the surgeries and pills. The pokes and pinches from needles. But somehow she was always cracking jokes, smiling, and able to make friends with anyone. Honestly I feel and think that I was to blame for her anger. I wasnt exactly daughter of the year. And I regret not having as many meaningful moments with her. And the thing I hate the most is her death helped me move forward my education (got my GED), found a job, and brought my sister (10 years apart) and I closer. My sister and I were raised by her but we grew up with different mothers. She got the health version of our mother. While I grew up and took care of our sick mother. Out of everything that's happened I found a sense of direction and that's to be a damn fine nurse. This song will always remind me of her.
@fineguy3349 ай бұрын
you've done everything right, don't blame yourself, if your mother's life were more worthy for you than your education that means that you are an exact example of normal human with feelings. Im proud of you.
