When I grew sweet corn, I had to install an electric fence to prevent the raccoons from raiding the field and eating all of the corn. However, it would sometimes kill a humming bird that would land on the fence wire to drink the water drops on the metal fence poles. The polar bears in Alaska have been known to rip the cloth fabric on aircraft, and it left one man to repair his plane with duct tape so he could fly back to civilization.

He had them fenced in with an electric fence , I had a goat in my arms and he told me I could just cross the fence where we were that he cut the fence off when he saw his goats out . His house was about 200 feet upon a hill, about the time I grabbed the wire and got the first leg over apparently his wife turned the fence back on. The goat he and I both getting shocked he was butting me with is head in the face, he quickly got on hi cell phone and called to the house telling his wife to turn the fence off that the goat and I were getting shocked . I heard him ask her did she cut it back on , that he had it turned off for a reason , I couldn't let go of the fence or the goat it had both of us.
