For years my husband and I would take our kids and my parents to myrtle beach every summer for a vacation. A few years ago, both my parents passed on the same day within a few hours of each other. So great to enjoy y'all's vacation with you seeing everything... I've never been I'm a widow of 5 years just lost my mom and my brother in the beginning of this year... Have my two adult children and a beautiful grandson 2 years old and I'm hoping we can go to the beach in Florida for a few days... This was a beautiful vlog Leslie. I have Oofos too and love them. It's the memories we make that make us sad when we leave. We want to keep making them with all our family there. Oh my word those milkshakes look so good! I'm from Hawaii and camping on the beach was something we always did when I was younger. We'd set up our sleeping bags next to the fire and fall asleep under the stars. It was absolutely beautiful! In the morning, us kids would get up and swim from sun-up to sun-down. I come from a family of fishermen/women so we were always at the beach. I'm a new subbie to your channel and I loved watching your family and getting to know y'all. My idea of a vacation is going to the cool mountains in the summer. I live in Virginia Beach, so I like to escape the beach altogether in this area. Myrtle Beach seems a lot nicer though I've never been there. Thank you so much for bringing us along on your vacation. I really enjoyed it! Have a safe trip home!

Oofos are the very best flip flops/slides. I have very bad feet and these shoes have been so much help. They are expensive, but when your feet hurt cost does not matter. Think they were developed for runners as relief slides to wear after running. I may be wrong,but a friend who does run told us about them. Enjoy them. I wear mine at home around the house because we have tile and hardwood floors and need good shoes to wear even at home. Enjoy them Have enjoyed watching your family at the Beach.

Bryant is right. I'm 69 and don't get around very well. So yes I came with you vicariously and gratefully. I love and miss the beach so much! I haven't been on vacation in a long time! I have really enjoyed your north myrtle beach vlogs. We were there there the 10th thru 17th we stayed at the Wyndam Towers on the grove this year it did our hearts good to see the places we visited in your vlogs especially melt

Great vacation! Thank you for letting us come along! It was interesting to see the training life guards. I imagine they have quite a workout. I'm taking my grandkids on a short trip next week, to Branson Missouri, where my husband and I usually vacationed with them. It will be the first time there without him. We're excited to go but I'm a tiny bit apprehensive about doing it by myself. It's certainly worth trying, though!

We can't go on vacation this year. Our home burnt up last 7/7/22. We last everything and so we have to replace everything,... We have gotten all the replacement furniture but I am still working on my kitchen. I just got a crock today. Even though we had insurance it doesn't pay at replacements cost. We are both retired because of disabilities, so we will be staying home this year and we are truly blessed to have a home to at. God is so good...

Is able to walk... It is terrible getting old and feeling this way. We just moved back to Durham NC where we both grew up and went to school. We finally found a home we could afford in a nice neighborhood. God is so good and we thank Him everyday. I just wish I could finally get my kitchen back. I do love to cook. I lost all my cookbooks and recipes that I had from 50 years. And lost all the things I had from my Mama... recipes gone forever...

I am 67😮, and this is what we used to do. Every year, we would take a family vacation. We would rent a cabin for a week, and oh, there was some reall 0:16 0:16 y nice cabins at one of our Beautiful lakes in oklahoma. We would go get groceries just like you all did and bring them back to the cabin and I feel the same that you do I enjoy cooking and I looked forward to everyone enjoying the meals. I would get up and make breakfast and people would slowly wake up and they would eat their breakfast. Had a microwave, so you could warm it up if you needed too. There is always a small town close by the Lake. That's where we would go our first night to find a place to eat. It was always a wonderful time. One year my husband received a call from one of his Doctors that they had made an appointment for him to go see a cancer doctor. My husband had a health issue it was cardiomyopathy where your heart dies and a transplant is your only hope. He was a patient with the transplant center and was seen by many Doctors. I will make this short my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer he was Stage 4 and terminal. He already took a page and a half of medications, so he didn't want to do chemo because of all the meds he took he felt it would be a problem and he didn't want to risk it. Our boys begged him to do the chemo. He had an allergic reaction and went into a coma. He was diagnosed in February of 2009 and died the day after fathers DAY in June 2009. We had our last family vacation around July 4th of 2009. We went to the lake that he ask us to spread his ashes. It was his favorite fishing hole. This was 14 years ago he was 55. We don't go on family vacations anymore. We have our pictures and videos of our vacations to enjoy. It was very moving to get to go along on your vacation. I thank you for sharing this time with us. I have come into my own health issues and I can't drive anymore and I stay homebound and it's OK because I know there are people that have it harder than I am. Again thanks for taking us along.
