The Fashion Citizen - Even though I prefer the vlog without the narrative, I've gotta say that Stephanie totally killed it. Everything about the narrative was polished, and had a professional feel to it. I can tell a lot of work was put into it, which is definitely something to be proud of.

I actually really liked this! I really like the funny captions too- it would be cool if you guys alternated the narrative weekly it would be great (e.g. Melissa narrates next weeks)! It also helps us to get to know your different personalities too (i know you guys are different obviously)

I love the style of this. It really brings together the clips. I usually skip around in vlogs--it's cool to see what people's daily lives are like, but after a while I'm like where is this going??. This felt like listening to a friend tell you about their day. Very cool. A+

I think sometimes we tend to overthink and worry people will get bored with the vlogs. Your weekly/bi-weekly vlogs are profoundly familiar -and not to each other, but in the way that you two feel like “home” to tens of thousands of people. The repetition is what makes them so incredibly comforting and soothing. I don’t know how to emphasize how much you SHOULDN’T worry about the repetition. I watch many KZbinrs but the only vlogs I watch and look forward to like an end of week treat are YOURS. I will NEVER get enough of your grocery hauls or Starbies runs or Headquarters hang outs. A good tv show has a familiar backdrop-hell, the best tv shows (ehm, Arthur on PBS) characters don’t even change outfits. It’s not about what you do it’s about what you say, where your aspirations lie, the minute changes that happen from week to week make each vlog special and separate from the other ones. I see where you’re going with the narration thing, but I have to say it’s too different for my liking. I think I might be heartbroken if I didn’t ever get an OG vlog back. I’d be ok with 5 second narration clips but it felt like the vlog was taken over by Punks lovely face and not enough action from day to day life. Just my two cents. I love when you guys switch up little things, though. The new captions that have been in the last several vids are super fun. I’m not sure the world’s ready for this entirely new format though. Love the creativity though, can always expect something fresh from you two! (But not too fresh, please, not too fresh. Ahah)
@ChantelHeartsMakeup7 жыл бұрын
I also have to add this: I can't express how incredibly refreshing it is to watch vlogs that aren't trying too hard to look like they're cool and busy and popular. The fact that you're so comfortable in showing the regular-ness of your own lives makes it ok for my life to not be super exciting either. I don't have to feel bad about that because my favorite youtubers are chill too--ya dig it?

I like how you let the vlog clips speak for themselves, they don't really need any narration in my opinion. It's nice to casually peer into your life without it having to be served in any special way. But great video nonetheless! 💕

What I love about you two is how you're always striving to take creativity to a new level. With that said, I prefer the old style because it felt more 'in the moment'. But, if you want to keep experimenting with this format, my suggestion would be to have both of you narrate the week. PS Melissa, are you doing your brows differently? I like it

What I enjoy about you guys vlogs is that you guys are so normal. Some other KZbinr's live lives that are not relatable at all which is cool too but I enjoy watching someone who is similar to me. I enjoy the consistency of the same things every week because it's comforting. I have never once thought that it was annoying that you guys live simple lives but instead I appreciate the value in that :)

The narration centers the activities you guys do, instead of your day to day selves, which is what I feel like I enjoy most. It doesn't matter that your schedule is repetitive because you are funny and have fun every day! I don't come back to your vlogs to see if something is different. I come back because I love watching you guys being you! love u both thank u for all the hard work

As a vlogger, I totally get how repetitive editing your own life can get and wanting to creatively switch it up at times. However, I don't think narration is the move. I watch each video you guys post faithfully because I truly find them entertaining despite the mundaneness but found myself having a hard time sitting through this one. I hope you both find your niche 💕🙌🏽
@jannikeb10567 жыл бұрын
Your vlogs are my favorite! I think it's Because when you watch a tv show or movie there is always something going on, some drama, problem etc. And you'er just waiting for the characters to solve it, but the second they do, another issue allready occured, so you never get to see the part where everything is ok and the characters are just living their lifes. Whereas in vlogs we get to see the parts that tv series miss, what happens after the happy ending. But If you don't feel like vloging as much, I 100% support you guys. And would totally Watch anything you make!

I'm glad I read all the comments before commenting, because I too appreciate the creativity and always striving to make your viewers enjoy your content.
