Hey Mel if u want to make ur smoothie a juice u can buy some cheese cloth (I believe u can get a 3 pack at the 99cent store) and you can put the blended mixture in the cheese cloth over a bowl or something and strain it so u have the juice and no pulp!

Mel, I had a similar problem with my lower back which caused shooting pains down my legs. I went to physio which was ok but what really helped speed things up and made me stronger was pilates - even once a week! I'd give it a go and just take it easy at first x

Mel! I know you mentioned your back pain's getting better right now but just in case... I have it too and I find laying on a heating pad helps- particularly the rice filled kind (like magic bag) which you can totally DIY (I've been meaning to) orrrr laying on frozen peas! Hope it continues to get better!

Re: red peppers being more expensive 'I feel like it's just the colour'. Are you kidding me?! Green, yellow & red peppers (aka capsicums) are completely different in flavour! They yellow ones are a bit sweeter than the green ones. If you blindfolded me for a taste test I'd know which was which. Red peppers are probably more expensive cause they're just used more often. Eg only time I can think of green peppers being used is on pizza or sushi but red ones are for salsa, pasta, pizza etc. Ps. So I googled it and apparently the green ones are picked before they're ripe (hence the flavour and why they're cheaper), then the peppers turn yellow/orange, then red. So the red ones need longer to grow which explains why they're more expensive. ;) The more you know eh. ;)

awe I feel bad you're in pain, Mel. I had a similar experience in my early 20's. it was really strange. I didn't remember hurting myself but I had terrible nerve pain down my leg,. it sometimes felt like a rubber band was around my ankle. pain meds didn't help and I had a hard time walking. it was on/off for months. all I could do was stretch and keep moving. I'm in my 40's now and haven’t had any pain for years. I think I sprained or strained something. I hope you get better soon. I never did figure out exactly what happened but my body did eventually heal itself. omg sorry this is so long!

Have you thought about/has your doctor suggested going to a chiropractor or a massage therapist? I had chronic back pain for a months and only by going to see both, as well as a physical therapist for a few weeks, was I able to get better. Just a suggestion! I hope you find something that works! Back pain sucks.
