Because that was before tracking devices were readily available. Also, Austrians do not use cars as much as Americans, he might have travelled to his supposed journalistic assignments via train or used public transport within Vienna (even our president takes the subway to work).

FBI files isn't making anymore seasons, but I think they have like 15 seasons with 18 episodes per season, which is quite a few cases to watch, but than there's The New Detectives, First 48, Crime Watch Daily and other crime shows, so there's literally months upon months of true crime shows to watch.

Huge mistake by the people that let him out! There's behaviors that can be changed but not one from any serial killer. I've heard from many people that have studied them and everyone has said it's an erg that cannot be stopped. The best explanation that I've ever heard and I heard lots I watch this cases daily is like an erg when you gotta go poop you can't get over it you can't avoid it and till you poop is when you feel normal again, it was a weird way of explaining it but it made so much sense. And it's embarrassing that a random person like me has that information and knows better no to let them out, how can the who judistic system fail their own people and let out a monster.

They all get caught. The primary reason is criminals will get drunk and bragg about their crimes. Then secretly get tape recored by the F.B.I. So as the Holy Bible says: What is done in darkness will be brought to the light. Patience is a virtue. All criminals will eventually open up and bragg about all their crimes they got away with. So its best to never go down that dark road.
