I had to modify it a touch since I don't have the same materials but it still looks good an quite fishable. Thank you for these videos Barry.

Enjoyed this Barry. Have been reading through your book, recommend it thoroughly and find it very complimentary. Have yet to start actually tying but ‘preparation’ and building knowledge all helpful. Appreciated.

A couple of suggestions as I tie a lot of patterns with organza. The fibres you used for the wing make a nice rib instead of the thread and if you use half the number of fibres for the wing and fold them round the thread before tying in it simplifies the process. Cheers, Nick.

Hey Barry, is this one that you designed? Love the simplicity. On another note, I've noticed in many of your videos that you seem to be using a Peacock herl that has fibers which appear to be about 3mm long. Is that correct? If so, where do you source that? I'm having trouble here in the States in finding anything remotely close. Best I've been able to get, came off of the eye feathers. Even so, it wasn't as rich as yours.

Hi Johnny, No it's a pattern I have used for several years but not sure who the designer is but it works real well, I do believe though that its a pattern from the US. All the peacock herl I use come from eye feathers and I buy them pre packed from a UK dealer called Veniard. I never buy strung herl, its just not good!

Hi Eldin, Organza, is actually a Japanese silk that is used for wedding dresses but its fibres are trilobal so they reflect light in a very natural way. It can be found at sewing shops etc in ribbon form. Take a look at my Ribbon shrimp video for another way to use it. Heres a link for Amazon: www.amazon.com/s?k=Organza+Ribbon&crid=QBEXBZT2V7H&sprefix=organza+ribbon%2Caps%2C200&ref=nb_sb_noss

The printed secret was the wing material used by Pat Dorsey, which is Glamour Madeira embroidery thread in opal white. Though the real secret was that he used dental floss as the rib.

But Barry! If this is top secret, will I be assaulted by soldiers in black dropping out of helicopters (hopefully with ropes!) Then taking me to Black ops headquarters where I will be waterboarded until I divulge your location???? Don't worry Barry I'm tough I can hold on for at least 30 seconds before I crack! 😁😁
