I'd like to do a bit more 2D felting, it's on my to-do list ... I have a bad habit of ending up with a 3D picture like those pottery relief plates from the 70s as I add too much wool 😂

You mention toppers for your foam - I have tried a number of times to find these but without success - are they just thin sheets of felt ?? CAn you suggest a supplier please ?

@margaretbird9728 Thanks for your question Margaret 😊 That's exactly what they are. Any craft felt, or even an old tea towel, or similar, works really well. I have a complete list of my favourite needle felting suppliers at: lincolnshirefenncraftsblog.com/2024/08/17/how-to-needle-felt-the-best-needle-felting-suppliers/ Jomil Felts and World Of Wool always gave a good range of felt sheets 😊

Hi Margaret. They can be thin sheets of craft felt. An old tea towel, linen, or similar. It just extends the life of your felting mat and stops your project from sticking to the felting mat. Hope this helps. Try Jomil Felts, World Of Wool, Hobbycraft, Boyes, or most online craft shops. 😊 My list of favourite suppliers is at the link below: lincolnshirefenncraftsblog.com/2024/08/17/how-to-needle-felt-the-best-needle-felting-suppliers/

I have a project for a wedding involving using Denim for felting , have you any tips for felting 9n denim
@thefelthubАй бұрын
Hi. Great question. As long as it isn't a thick denim, there shouldn't be any problem. Test a small area and use a medium and fine needle to see which works best. 😊
