Meanwhile, an increasing number of Tamil leaders began to embrace the Dravidian identity. This evolved into Tamil chauvinism that was initially secular and not religious. It was fed by the theory that in the Indian Ocean there once existed a lost continent called Lemuria (similar to the Atlantis myth), the original homeland of the Dravidians. Accounts glorifying Lemuria were taught as historical fact under British rule, because this exacerbated the regional faultlines. After India’s independence, Dravidian identity entered politics, and now dominates the state’s power structure. The Dravidian identity is now being increasingly Christianized. A new religion called “Dravidian Christianity” has been invented through a sudden upsurge of writings designed to “discover” the existence of quasi-Christianity in Tamil history prior to the coming of the “Aryan” Brahmins. The project is to co-opt Tamil culture, language and literature and systematically cleanse them of Hinduism. Christian interpretations and substitutes are being injected into the most cherished symbols, artifacts and literary works of Tamil Hindu culture. The preposterous claim is that Tamil classical literature originated in early Christianity. The Tamil classical tradition consists of two great components: an ethical treatise called Thirukural (abbreviated Kural, authored by the great sage Thiruvalluvar), and a sophisticated Vedanta philosophical system called Saiva Siddhanta, which traces its origins to the Vedas and was nurtured by many Tamil savants over the centuries. Dravidian Christianity appropriates both these foundational works, attributing them to Christian influence. To make this credible, the pre-Christian date for Kural has been replaced by more recent dates. The narrative used is that St. Thomas, the apostle, visited south India and taught Christianity to the great sage, Thiruvalluvar, who was inspired by Christianity, but did not capture St. Thomas’ message accurately. Sanskrit is downgraded as a language created by St. Thomas to spread the Christian message to the uncivilized north Indian races. The Indian church has periodically announced archeological “discoveries” to back the visit of St. Thomas to south India, but none of them have been verified by professional archeologists. Even the famous Jesuit archeologist, Father Heras, dismissed the so-called discovery of Thomas’ tomb in Chennai. Western churches send billions of dollars to Tamil Nadu, the epicenter of the project to harvest Indian souls. While the sheer scale of intellectual fraud and prejudice is breathtaking, the church’s political clout has enabled it to permeate university research, education, museums, politics and film. The state government is even supporting the production of an epic feature film on St. Thomas that will popularize this myth. The Dravidian Christianity movement has organized an entire series of international conferences over the past decade, where its scholars make outlandish revisions to Indian religious history. They claim that the Bhagavad Gita, Tamil classics and even Sanskrit originated after Christ and under the influence of Christianity. The crackpot Lemurian theory pops up as well. A 2005 conference in New York had the theme, “International Conference on the History of Early Christianity in India.” Senator Hillary Clinton greeted it with the message: “I am confident that the breadth of resources presented during the conference will shed light on the impact of Christianity on medieval and classical India and its effects on the cultural and political climate of India…” Dravidian Christianity has penetrated high places. There are also Shivalingas found in the IVC (3500 BCE to 2300 BCE). Mother Goddess worship was also prominent in IVC. There is no evidence of Sanskrit or Vedas having existed in the IVC, as the Indus valley script has nothing to do with Sanskrit. Dhyansky (1987) discusses about yoga existing in the Indus Valley Civilization. Recorded human civilisation started around 5000bc.. Sumerians invented first writings and could be traced to 4000bc.. they invented most of our daily basic necessity today from time to wheels to buildings and the first religion written on cuneiform writings which tells about the great flood, adam and eve, multiple gods, avatars... later at 1400bc jewish religion came about and they started to pray to many Gods similar to sumerians.. at around 1500bc the indus civilisation collapsed and the dravidians went south of india and some stayed north at pakistan.. and came the aryan invasion with vedic teaching using sanskirt also at around 1500bc.. if vedic teaching was at around 1500bc, so vaishnavism which talks folktales of thousands of gods and avatars also shud hv appeared around this time.. so prevedic shaivism shud hv existed prior to 1500bc and likely the mode of religion in indus valley which goes back to 3000bc.. at 600 bc isiaih decided to merge all the gods into one because monotheism from buddhism were becoming popular at that time.. so monotheism appeared at around 600bc and then the start of christianity around 2bc.. jesus and buddha has lots of similarities so maybe both of them cud be the same person jz like how murugan cud be alexander the great.. because after buddha's teaching which made humans realise that god is only 1 (monotheism), after 600 years of realisation that god is only one emerged christianity.. so jesus christ cud be modified buddha's story.. and then at around 600AD.. muhammad modified every versions from sumerian, hebrew to bible and invented a better holy book and started propagating islam also a monotheism religion.. so basically monotheism already existed at indus civilisation and likely was prevedic shaivism.. and later as polytheism getting its peak around the world including india due to aryan invasion, buddha had to intervene and make everyone realise that god is only 1.. that is why the aryan version of hindu religion which is vaishnavism is still followed by us hindu till today.. buddhism somehow realised the actual teaching of monotheism is from prevedic shaivism not the aryan version of vaishnavism.. and then at around 320bc alexander the great came to india and only fought king porus and won but spared his life plus did not cont the war against the mauryan empire.. so he went back to babylon and died a few years after.. so the the demise made king chandragupta of maurya to make him the god of war in india as a deity because they already had thousands of gods at that time so they added him.. and that is how skanda kanda iskandar murugan is worshipped and murugan worshipping was at its peak during sangam era around 300bc and we still worship to murugan till today as the most populsr deity for the Tamils.. i think everyone shud start reading back history and to seek only for the truth, not jz blindly believe onto everything.. only the truth will prevail.. the original teaching of god is only 1 and reaching god is thru meditation not prayers goes back to prevedic shaivism and later buddhism.. om namah shivahya 🙏🏽

There are many tamilians living in Lucknow respectfully, I have spend a brief time period in Southern region, apart of one or two incident of discrimination towards north India rest were really helpful, also we North Indians treat our tamil brother respectfully as if everyone in South is either a Scientist or an I.t engineer 🤣. A South brother can easily get a job in North India as there is a general perception that "dude is South indian must be educated and intelligent, hire him". So we North indian never discriminate between North and South, this entire land belongs to you and us we should unite and stay strong like brothers. 👍

Whatever you say but being North Indian I have faced a lot of discrimination in Tamil Nadu . I will not generalize this but it is tough for a North Indian to survive in interior South . Cities like Banglore and Hyderabad are more welcoming but my experience of two years has been very challenging . I have had friends they were very kind to me but they also knew that I will face this discrimination . This is not a complain because I know they also face challenges in rural north India but as an Indian I don't like this . Nothing against my lovely brothers and sisters from South India . It's just something I wanted to speak out .
