I loved Steve’s ending. It kept the serious tone and Nina’s response is exactly what I expected. Course her words were harsh but I feel she’s trying to keep him from getting killed. Oh and the mother of the year is actually MK11 Sindel.

This game went COMPLETELY out of its way to just completely bury Asuka, either ending between her and Lili is basically a loss for her in this put-upon feud that doesn't evolve in any way (at least in Street Fighter, Sakura and Karin's feud evolves into mutual respect and friendship, and it's an all-around friendly rivalry) It baffles me that Asuka, who was basically one of the flagships of her debut game, and with one of the surname of the feuding families, is basically the least relevant to anything around it.

Lol they had her up feuding with devil Jin in her and his stories in Tekken 5. (Yeah that was non canon but it does show the initial push was there.) I haven't seen a bigger drop off since Paul. They might as well have her finally fight Feng at least. It's not like he's doing anything else.

@@togucvinw7 The sign thing was just some Tekken Tag 2 ending bit. Even so, it's more than just the sign with Asuka's rivalry with Feng. Feng destroyed the dojo, beat up the students, and injured her father. This was some big personal thing. And by next game she never finds Feng, that feud's just about dropped, and she goes after Jin (fine, still some familial connection) and establishes her feud with Lili. Then NEXT game it's just Lili in a non-evolving feud where it's always Lili one-ups Asuka, and Asuka looks like an idiot in some way, with her family connection being retconned entirely. Asuka's basically had all of her defining characteristics taken away from her in some way: Her status as a Kazama, her schtick as gang mediator in Tekken Tag 2, her feud with Feng, all just to be Lili's one-sided rival.

I grew up with Xiaoyu, who has become my favorite Tekken character of all time, and her ending with Claudio was so-so. Eddy, tho', had the worst ending. Imagine a Capoeirista who was put to prison, learned Capoeira through a master during his imprisonment, then became a sub-boss of the Mishima Zaibatsu... only to be berated by a Vocaloid girl. Eddy has always had serious endings and then his T7 ending became a slap in the face for his mains.

The writers need to be careful when writing joke endings for their characters. In fact, they need to write joke endings for joke characters only. Why not give details to their lore for other characters instead? Give them more depth, such as giving more insight into Asaka's blood relations with Jun Kazama and the Mishima bloodline.

Tekken 7 endings are weak they make Tekken 6's look like masterpieces cause for me T6's were too short and some barely have little context unless you read the character prologues. Tekken 7 didn't have the budget to hire professional writers hints at the mediocre endings. Namco needs to fix this problem with Tekken 8 and give us something more serious. No more hokey, jokey, comedy goofball bits. Consistent story telling.

It's funny how Street Fighter, Tekken, etc. were delivering ok to good stories in games before the growth of NRS expansive story modes forced them to try to add more story. But the stories they add are worse than what came before

Story Modes had already been a thing since "Fatal Fury 1" in 1991 and "Art of Fighting 1" in 1993, from the FF side you only play as 3 Characters (Terry, Andy and Joe) and the AOF side you only play as 2 Characters (Ryo and Robert) while the rest of the Casts are CPU Control (yep, sounds exactly like a NRS MK Story Mode Concept), but they were ahead of their Time and ditched it in favor of a traditional Arcade Mode where you can play as any Character which is now a common Trend by becoming more and more Diverse, Honestly, don't blame anyone who either Forgotten about it or are not even Aware of it until NRS Expanded on that Idea.

I agree with Steve's ending being the best. Nina never had anything good going on so I don't blame the hostility. She was used against her will for the experiment so I don't know why you'd expect her to be 'motherly'. If anything, I love Nina for her direct response, painful yes but direct. The ending does suggest that Steve's still protective of her and Nina is hesitant that someone is willing to protect her. If Tekken 8 is capable of good endings, then hopefully this story progresses.

The Miguel ending clearly never happened, like you said, BUT, something like that probably did happen. Like they had a running and Miguel tried to body him but he failed and poured his heart out as to why he wants jins head. Jin probably had a stern look, looked away then walked away and had Miguel screaming his name to come back. Probably some ish like that occurred for canon purpose.

This video reminds me of when I thought Josie's and Lucky Chloe's return in Tekken 8 would be like Hsu Hao returning in Mortal Kombat 12, AWFUL!!! At least Lili's ending supports my headcanon that every Tekken character (maybe even the public at-large) have a translation device planted or implanted in their ear. She takes a "bluetooth" call in her ear. Even if it's a little more given, Raven also has a "com" in his ear. So I go with Mishima or G-corp produces ear-planted com/translator devices. Basically some NeuroLink stuff.

Apart from Steve and Miguel's, these endings were garbage, absolute garbage. The budget isn't even an excuse, there was just an extreme lack of creativity in making these, felt like the devs didn't didn't give a damn about anyone but a select few outside of the Mishima feud. I also hope trash characters like lucky chloe, josie, Lilli, Leo, claudio, gigas and katerina dont make it into Tekken 8 and that the game has a more serious tone like tekken 4, or the right mix of seriousness and humour like tekken 3.

Nothing to add here: these endings were nothing but farce and I'm sure that any fan of the series could come up with better endings for all of these characters. Marshall Law's and Bob's endings were also moronic and I wish they were featured here. It's OK for characters to have comical moments, but there is huge difference between being comical and being absolute joke. All of these endings belong in latter category. BTW, I found Xiaoy's and Claudio's endings to be pretty good, as they are at least setting up an interesting plotline for Tekken 8.

The Characters were really Underdeveloped in "Tekken 7," they're Story Chapters were completely Short, the Endings were all utter Mixed Bags, some were Great (Steve, Xiaoyu, Hworang and Miguel), and some were S**t (Asuka, Lili, Paul, Yoshimitsu and of course even Chloe), I Hope "Tekken 8" tones down or probably yet get rid of the Goofy Slapstick Comedy and go back for a more Darker and Serious Approach, it's gonna be the Final Chapter of the *Mishima Saga* after all, so it's time to get Gritty now.

Yeah you could tell at this point they didnt want to try with any character endings or story at this point. I would say it really started in a lot of 5's endings but they still had a mix of comedy and serious with some good ones. I feel like the Asuka one is still bad but is actually good compared to most of the endings in seven. I think it was just they're lazy way of wrapping up their feud and fulfilling the desires of the rule 34 community. Maybe Asuka will be somewhat important in eight but I feel like her fate was already decided in five.

Miguel's ending so far is by the best in Tekken 7 and even though it would be unlikely for Miguel to beat Jin for obvious reasons him sparing Jin kind of makes sense because for the longest time Jin has always been portrayed as an edgy self loathing suicidal nihilist ever since Heihachi's betrayal and the only goal he only ever hope to fulfill is to end the entire Mishima bloodline, because in Jin's mind he believes that no matter what he does as long as he and the entire bloodline of the Mishima continues to exist while having being cursed along with possessing the Devil gene, Jin believes that it would be best if he was better off dead and Miguel would be contributing to this and be basically giving Jin what he wants and it wouldn't be as satisfying hence why he spares him.

really hope 8 does more with the arcade as 7's felt archaically pointless(and a waste of kazumi as it should've been akuma shomehow getting energy to bring her back to life maybe taking heihachi with her leaving the other mishima's own fate to their own choice.) and the main stories felt like they could've just been part of the main story like hwoarang's(would've been more interesting than the pointless reporter.). would like continuation for steve(while it honestly summed up why i don't like nina as she's boring compared to anna williams,would find it interesting if it showed her actually having feelings for her son but conflicted with the cause/have anna be a caring figure to steve to heal from her fiance & form a different relationship with how she tries to bury the hatchet at times only for nina to be childishly petty.),really didn't care for miguel even back in 6 as it's just a generic revenge story that the series has better examples of/jin would end him,miss when paul was funny but also a rival that could handle kazuya which i'd love to see in 8 alongside giving the laws a lucky break(even dan hibiki gets thrown a bone/a whole fiesta more than them recently as it's just straight up mean in 7.) actually like asuka's ending for lili helping her problems(compared to being a karin knock off without her development she got in her own game intro/just les bait for asuka.)but really just have her potential help stop the mishima feud already instead of wasting her,actually like the idea of yoshimitsu teaming up with leo helping him out just less stereotypical(and a better design for the lovable space ninja/interactions with both kunimitsu's.) and seriously just give eddy & christie closure already(just put chloe with the laws or something/start with her getting beaten up) as i couldn't even rewatch that ending on here.
