I think its pretty clear that if you are a video focused creator, then the ZV-E10 II is the way to go. It blows the Fuji especially when it comes to low light recording. I can immediately tell that Camera B is the Sony when I saw how it handles low light compared to Camera A. However, if you're a photography first creator, then i think the Fuji edges it out a little bit more. Especially with the Fuji film simulations that everyone's raving about.

I love small cameras, that's the reason i ditched Nikon (I still think Nikon have the best colors and overall rendering image). I have Sony now because the small full frame bodies and small lenses. But always looking at Fuji because of how Fuji makes the images feel "real". The Fujis have weak IR filter, that's one of the reasons for the magenta tint. Just slap an IR filter in front of your lens and that's it. A lot of high end cinema cameras have weak IR filters on the sensor too and there are reasons for that. The Fuji log video with your Sony grading on it looks perfect. The Sony "yellow" near the sun looks disgustingly greenish, the Fuji looks perfect.
@thefilmalliance13 сағат бұрын
That’s a great point about the IR filter, I didn’t know that. I’ll have to try one out. Could you believe how similar the log footage looked before the grade? Do you think that’s to the sensors manufacturing?
@amermeleitor13 сағат бұрын
@thefilmalliance Josh Sattin made a video here in KZbin about the Fuji XH2S IR pollution. Is clear when you use ND filters that haven't IR filtering, so you cut other light but let the IR pass. The blacks looks dark magenta, but with an IR filter that's solved. Other brands like Sony or Canon have strong IR filters and no matter what you do, no IR light goes to the sensor. You are right, the log files looks similar, but the difference is clear after the grading. I think sensor manufacturing have little to do with final image, even for different technology like CCD vs CMOS there isn't difference at pure data level. The major differences are the filters, microlensing, and everything is on top the sensor, before the sensor. And most of all, the in camera processing. Even raw files have some sort of processing.

Both great cameras for that travel type market. Both jam packed with features but also missing things and having large compromises, 1x card slot, no IBIS, no viewfinder. Sony missing a joystick and Fuji missing that shutter dial. Once you pop the gripping the Fuji it’s no longer pocket friendly. It begs the question to me, is it easier to just buy a used A7 iii for the same price which covers these things. I love the weight and the apsc line has some great lenses that are small and compact, but I think I’m still holding out for one that has a joystick and all the other missing features. I think the a6700 comes close but there’s no joystick on that. Saying this though 2x card slots, is overkill when you think how many times it has come in useful but if you are a pro you can’t take the chance. Overall both are great I’m glad both companies are releasing these lines and I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next. Thanks be quick question can you externally record and internally at the same time on the Fuji? Much love for the channel man.

I'm ready to leave Sony because Sony can't allow higher than 4K recording because of their fake limitations to protect their cinema cameras. They're so lame and fake, they can't even allow 4K DCI. Without fake limitations, Fujifilm, Nikon, and Panasonic are allowed to walk all over Sony. Sony isn't even allowed to respond competitively. This is a very bad situation. If this continues, I'll be complaining about 4K for an entire decade. I've had enough of this. I want to be able to do basic stuff like punch in on my 6K recorded @ 16mm. I want to do that because it's utilitarian functional stuff I'm trying to do. It's not some film maker elitist thing. Sony stopped being a leader 5 years ago, and it's all because of some artificial market tiering.
