@@thefilmalliancethere is an issue with the 27mm 1.2 that needs to be addressed where it won’t actually change the aperture between f4 and f4.5 if you toggle back and forth between them. This also happens at f5 to f5.6 and at a few other intervals as well. Serious issue because I took two photos with the aperture at f4 yet one of the photos was darker because it was actually on f4.5 even though it said f4. This happens on all firmware versions. And I have asked multiple people and they have the same issue. Viltrox doesn’t seem like they want to reply to my email so maybe they would reply to you. I may have been the first to discover this.

I started with an X-S10 & 16-80 f4 that I got on clearance for $1,100 USD, which was perfect as I mainly do landscape and travel photography. My other lenses also fit that need, and were all less than $150 each; the TTArtisan 10 f2, TTArtisan 27 f2.8, TTArtisan 56 f1.8, and a Canon FD 80-200 f4 L. @thefilmalliance my friend and i both experienced blackouts when quickly zooming from wide to tele. For me it was about 2 seconds. Made me miss some shots at the jazz festival where i was testing. But i didnt really love my results shot with the wide end and for my event photography thats pretty important. When i compared to my Viltrox shots it felt a decent difference. Still the Tamron is a good allround lens and depending on your copy might even be great. But for my personal professional needs it fell short. I’d like make a question, many years ago all thinking the necessary have a good lens for grow a better image quality but now is better have many lenses with differents focal lens?. I use Nikon and would sure that many many times don’t touch the colors. Saludos 🇲🇽

I've been thinking the same thing, many lenses with different focal lengths is definitely the way to go but a few different primes in your bag will give you such great detail so its hard to say

Avoid the Viltrox 23mm F1.4. Mine stopped working after I owned it for a year, and Viltrox and Adorama wouldn't help me get it fixed. The focus motors and the manual focus just stopped working, like something came undone inside the lens. I would look at the newer viltrox 27mm instead. I've heard that the build quality is improved.

On the Tamron 17-70, I prefer the Tamron 28-75G2. About the same price, but your missing on the wide angle. The optics are SO MUCH BETTER! I had both, and sold the 17-70 once I saw how much better the optical quality was. Same size and weight for the most part, and your also ready for full frame camera's if you upgrade.

@thefilmalliance I'm looking forward to it. I watched your fx30 vs zve1 video a bunch of times because i wanted to switch to something ,,better" but i was struggling to balance actual need, want and is the ,,best" bang for the buck. Short story long :D I just switched my zve10 to a zve1 (still unsure and in my withdrawl period). I wanted to ask you for Fullframe Lens Advice. My plan is to stress test the zve1 in my 2 week period with all my use cases and if that doesn't work i will get the a7c2 even though photography isn't really my focus😁. Maybe you can give one for the lens choice. I do make videos in a gawx life of riza style. Do you have like a 2 or 3 lens combo that you think would work perfectly for it? My budget for it is only 700€🤔 i was thinking of a 35mm 1.8 and a 85mm 1.8 to cover the midwide to close up range even though i would probably mis a bit of the 50 range. I do come from apsc so i don't really know yet if 24-70 2.8 would have the same or enogh background blur as my sigma 16mm 1.4 before(but apsc)? 🙈😅do you have a good advice? I'm not a doing any vlog, I try more of a sole real filmmaking as a style🤔 And happy new year 💯🥳 may all your dreams become memories
