I’m a Texas fan and I was at the game Saturday. Georgia definitely was prepared. From the get go, Georgia defense always had Texas back pedaling. Nothing easy to go to. It definitely felt like Georgia knew what was coming and had Texas passing game locked down. That’s what really well coached teams look like. Hook’em 🤘🏼
@ryanrobin122 күн бұрын
Georgia fan here, and I was totally not expecting that outcome. We’ll take it though. Texas is an incredible team and will be back. It’s game by game and it’s hard to play in full sync every game. Georgia had their “shit the bed” game against Bama a few weeks ago.

Man, imagine how this game would have gone if our WR could have caught those passes. It’s trend I’ve seen the last few games, if we come out of the gate and our WR’s are catching balls and offense is cooking, becks motivation and confidence goes through the roof. When he have dropped passes and dumb penalties, his game is sub par. We clean that up and man, we’ve got a scary offense.
@Swampdonkey7962 күн бұрын
Between dropped passes and wrong routes this guys gotta have almost zero confidence in his receivers right? That’s gotta be affecting him and part of the reason he looks like he straight got worse compared to last season
@HustlerT1012 күн бұрын
@@Swampdonkey796 oh for sure. Easy to see what talent Bowers, Ladd and that bunch had. But again, losing rara and Colbie to outside shenanigans really killed us too. We have the talent but our receivers just have to get on the ball. London Humphreys has track speed and Arian smith is really good too but he just seems to have lost some momentum. Dillon bell and Lovett are the best we got right now so we just have to find them and hopefully the running game gets going after this game. By the time we play Florida we get some key players back from injury so hopefully we start cooking on offense

On that Everette DPI at 2:52 in Q1 … I saw another angle of that play on X and you can clearly see the receiver grab Everette and pull him into the receiver so contact is initiated. You don’t pick that up on your clip but it’s clear as day from the sideline angle.

I hate that Texas lost, but that means it's a learning opportunity. For the team, of course, but also for me. I knew this game could go either way, and that it could be a blowout either way. Depended on if we had our head in the game or not. I'm curious how much of it was that, or if it was play calling, or... I felt like our D played well the whole game, but our offense wasn't doing the things I'm use to. But also, Georgia's D was stopping thing and reading things other teams didn't, so it wasn't just that we lost. Georgia beat us in that first half.

45:51 Naw, what you couldn't see on SkyCam because it's too wide of a view is the receiver pulled #6 into him to get the flag BECAUSE the ball was overthrown. That was a great offensive sell for that receiver because he drew the flag. Think about it, how can it be defensive PI when he had eyes on the ball? That's how he batted it down, which is all he could do because he was being held.

After watching your film breakdown and seeing how well prepared George was to defend Texas, I went back to look at George schedule and realize something. I would be that the reason Mississippi State score 31 against Georgia the week before, and Texas could only manage 15 was because Kirby, and rightfully so, spent a little bit of time during Mississippi State week preparing for Mississippi State, and probably started Texas early? 🧐🤔

What I see at 20:24 is Quinn running from a clean pocket and not giving his receivers time to get open. No rush until he leaves the pocket. Also rolling to the right was better based on what the O line was blocking.
@deamon5062 күн бұрын
19:30 Jalen Kimber mentioned 24:00 I feel better about that throw. BUT… the deep route had some space to the outside… 37:27 it feels like this is an area that is consistently being failed at this year. Running and sitting in the correct places. Is that something that can be taught or is it something that you just have to feel? 39:30 Nate saved the play with that pickup 53:34 they don’t wanna be great if they ain’t watching this. It’s heat 1:06:55 Daylen lines up like he’s in man and then bails like he’s going to travel with the deep receiver before coming back for the pick… completely fooled Quinn. What an incredible play. 1:11:45 watch 8 signal something when the motion comes. He was prepared 1:17:30 they should run it more often lmao
@denniscarney52492 күн бұрын
Running vs Sitting can definitely be taught, but the issue is that there's no one spot that works for ALL zone coverages. If the QB has to be "and elite processor" to make the right read within 3 seconds, then it's not a simple task for a receiver to correctly identify the zone while running his route in that time either. Especially a guy like Dillon Bell who lines up in different spots all game (think this particular play targets Lovett but both made same mistake in this game). Also, this is where other analysts will tell you about QB/WR "chemistry" -- think Rodgers/Adams -- in that the receiver has to trust not only his choice of spot to sit but the QB's. Having said all of that, i never played receiver, so they might tell you it's not as complicated as it sounds.
