why in hell do so many people dislike this? yes, he's not the actual final boss, and he's closer to a minigame, but like, that's kinda the point. it's just one last celebration, it's not meant to be taken "seriously"

Honestly, this boss is a final skill check. You can cheese damage so easily by this point in the game, but you can't cheese defense. If you got this far by abusing broken strats, and still somehow don't know how to dodge or counter attacks well, this boss makes sure you aren't allowed to win until you do.

Maybe this could've been better if it appeared before or even during the Elder Princess Shroob fight. Most of the complaints I've seen are the timing of the fight. So if it was in a different place, it could have been a better received boss. I mean, Ludwig in the Superstar Saga remake had pretty much the same mechanic, and we don't see anyone complaining about his boss, do we?

tbh i really Really disliked the ending before the shrowser fight it felt boring and incomplete so having the shrowser fight and then really ending the game made the ending way better in my personal opinion and Yes i greatly prefered the shrowser fight over elder princess shroob it was a great concept for an awesome final battle where bowser and elder princess shroob combined forces 😏

I had an idea for the Remake version of Shrowser. So first up, no attacks as usual.. But what is different is the Elder Princess Shroob. She has a model of the Monster and Ghost version. She would have a different idle animation rather than doing a menacing animation instead as it is used when they are at the Fury stage.

I’m like 99.9% sure this was to prove how crazy Elder Princess Shroob is and even when she “dies” she’s still alive and kicking it! Plus it’s Bowser you gotta have Bowser near the end somewhere winning or losing! Also the “you can’t attack during this boss!” Is quite honestly the weakest/lamest argument I’ve ever heard! Not everything in a video game has to “go your way” anyway I’ll give this boss an 8/10 could be better but not as bad as people are whining and bitching about!

Bro, it's horrible for a final fight. Almost every other fight in the game had better buildup than this. Shrowser was just an excuse to have Bowser as the final boss.

I always found Shrowser interesting, character-wise. It's a fusion of Bowser and Elder Princess Shroob, but who is the one in control? Obviously, we can see Elder Princess Shroob telling Bowser who to attack. But Bowser also seems to retain his free will. Maybe the fusion remains stable due to their mutually shared desire of defeating Mario and Luigi? Just over-analyzing a little.

Possibly but while I don’t know for sure the reason I’m pretty sure the reason was to prove that Elder Princess is crazy and will stop at nothing to win at least when she’s breathing even if her breathing is very faint! Also some peoples reasons for it being bad is you can’t actually attack Shrowser! Really?! Since when does that make a boss good or bad all of the sudden things have to go your way for it to be good?! Shit by that logic when you fight the first 3 Shroobs where it’s impossible to win and the bros almost DIE that should’ve been the drawing point too! Superstar Saga did it with one of the koopalings (99.9% sure anyway!) and no one whined about it but when this game does it all of the sudden it’s a problem! Also people are saying it’s the worst boss in the Mario and Luigi series that is such bullshit and you know it too! Cackletta Soul for example is definitely worse than Shrowser as if you’re not perfect the game punishes harshly and she makes everything hard to dodge! Also Bowser X in both Bowser’s Inside Story could’ve been done better too but no one complained about it no “iTs A PerFecT ChAlleNge!” Like F off!

This might aswell be the worst Mario boss of all time. Why? It is incredibly easy to dodge and counter his/her attacks. You can’t even attack Shrowser. The worst thing is the game could have ended after defeating Elder Princess Shroob as she was challenging, had some buildup and also great music. Shrowser on the other hand comes right out of nowhere and just reuses the boss theme for Bowser and Baby Bowser. It’s a fine theme, but isn’t final boss material. In conclusion, Shrowser is not only the worst Mario and Luigi boss, but also the worst boss in any Mario game and one of the worst video game boss period.
