That’s a nice touch making the aspect ratio 4:3 for iPad viewers

The big feature still missing, that I need to be able to replace Resolve, is the ability to edit files from an external drive - like what Resolve and luma Fusion do. I can’t believe Apple hasn’t added this feature yet. A lot of my camera files are ProRes so they are large. I like😅 what they are doing but but still got a way to go.

I’m in the external drive camp too. There’s simply no way I’m going to import files into the internal iPad drive for editing. Files are on a speedy external ssd already, ready to go. Reaolve is a really great alternative.

I would love to edit directly from an external SSD. Also, any idea when 3rd party plugins (like Motion VFX) will be coming to FCP for iPad?

Nice move on that aspect ratio for the iPad. It’s the little things. :-)

That aspect ratio… was it also edited on FCP for iPad by any chance? 😮

Awe the classic countdown from before FCPX. ❤ that they added that.
