For every like this video gets, you will increase your chances of receiving a Vision Pro for Christmas by 0.001%

Is there any chance of getting a video on HDR? HDR video, export settings, SDR in HDR, export conversions (hand brake rather than compressor), and how youtube handles HDR uploads. I'm interested in 10 bit video or even 12 bit video to retain those dark colors without banding.

Considering filming a few spatial videos to see how they go. If not I’ll be the trailblazer for the format. Lol

Woo! Amazing. Unfortunately, the Vision goggles are above my pay grade at the moment but I can see a whole new industry growing around this new technology. As ever. Many thanks for all your hard work Dylan. Another very impressive video.

What would be marginally cool is if you could export an anaglyph version. Yes, I watched this entire video even though I doubt I will ever edit a spatial video. :-)

I had that same thought! Just for kicks, if I could export the anaglyph mode so people with classic red and blue glasses could get the 3D effect, that would be so fun. I genuinely think spatial video will be a major part of the future someday, but right now it’s just so early. If you ever have the chance to experience a spatial video at an Apple Store, I highly recommend it! I’ve been filming so much more stuff on my phone in Spatial, cause it’s just so fun to watch back. And now that I can edit it, it would be a really fun way to make a short film. I do think the real magic is when it’s your own videos in Spatial that you are watching, and not something someone else filmed. It just adds another dimension to memories which I wasn’t expecting.

I can confirm that you can watch the viewer in 3D with glasses like the Real Air. It has 2x 1080p screens and I set it to stereoscopic so 3840x1080. Then in Final Cut set the second display to show the viewer and there click on the fullscreen icon on the bottom right. Now the Viewer is in 3D. Note that the glasses are first treated like a beamer so you have to change it to extend screen. Looking forward to edit Spatial Videos.

Pretty lame that you don't see it in 3D if you edit in FCP using the Vision Pro as a monitor yet. Well I won't buy it anyway ;-) Interesting to read your reply to Jason Fox. How much more space does the spacial video on the iPhone 15 Pro or so take? Is it still 4K? Does the "Hero" eye use the main camera? Does it look as good as normal so it would be just a question of space filming in spacial just to be future proof?
