Hey guys the Fire Brothers here and today I'm sharing with all of you the "Transitcut" this was the original opening for the movie where instead of the Maximal planet scene where the Maximals were trying to escape from Scourge and his minions, this scene involved Optimus Prime finding Transit at the bus stop and having a brutal fight against him which stablishes Prime's brutality, the objective of the Autobots through most of the movie and what the status of our heroes is after the events of the Bumblebee movie. Prime fights Decepticon Transit in a very brutal fight and buries his body in the Hudson River as he sets out on his mission of trying to find a way home like he stated in the release cut of the movie. Let me know what you thought of this scene and if you thought it was better than the Maximal Planet scene we ended up getting when the movie was released. Original ending was supposed to be Megatron making truce with Prime and heading back to Cybertron accepting his defeat and the series would've ended on a good note. But first it hot leaked and then hasbro pushed Bay for another part so that they can sell more toys(I heard that reason).

it sucks this scene was deleted from the final movie. It would've shown Optimus' desperation to go home, why he was even in a bus lot in the first place, and also explained why he doesn't trust humans. He thinks that if the autobots were to reveal themselves, they would be hunted down. However, since we lost this scene, we simply get a pretty well characterized Prime who just seems to be a little xenophobic.

I'm pretty sure there won't be a transformer-hunting group in this new continuity, but who knows what this new universe has in store. Also, the main point of my original comment was to praise the explanation of Optimus' fear, not to say that "humans wouldn't hunt transformers".

Transit was probably sent to Earth against his will to look for Optimus, whom he found and was probably so scared that he destroyed the very ship he arrived on to keep Optimus on Earth. The way Prime killed him without even letting him finish talking is out of character even for being the psychopathic murderer he was in the Bayverse.

Combining this with the Maximals opening would've done a great job setting up both sides of our heroes. The Maximals have their backstory with Scourge and Unicron destroying their planet, and the Autobots get the Optimus and Transit fight. So when the Autobots and Maximals meet up its much more satisfying as a result of us knowing how similar their histories are

I really love how this scene ties in more with the Bumblebee movie than in the original cut. And for how the Decepticons found Earth; if they were able to follow Bumblebee, they might have been able to tail Prime and the gang too. They probably don’t know that Earth was going to be the main rallying point for all Autobots though.

I don't think there was ever an issue with brutality, just tone. Despite Optimus being depressed and angry throughout the movie, the tone is still relatively lighthearted because it's never the single thing commanding a scene above everything else. This scene really feels like it's supposed to lead into a much darker movie than what it actually was.

Honestly my favorite part about this is that Optimus gave Transit two chances to surrender and give up. Something you don't really see in other movies. It really presents Optimus as a stern leader who'll give his enemies a chance to surrender before killing them if they don't take it, which is good he shouldn't want to kill decepticons they're still Cybertronians like him after all but if they don't give him any other option he'll do what he has to do

I wish we see Transit during the scene when Optimus transforms for the first time in the movie in front of the buses. And after that, both will have their battle ending with Transit's defeat. I think Optimus killing off Transit full of anger like Bayverse Prime isn't out of character and actually helps his character Clearly he became angry when Transit revealed he destroyed his ship, leaving no way back to Cybertron for Prime and saying he will die on this planet (earth) which by this point Prime sort if hates/regrets being on, considering it's so far from home And Prime cuts him off by shooting him, because he didn't want to keep being reminded of his mistake of coming here, trapping him and his people on a nowhere planet with a bunch of nobodies

This was actually a pretty good opening, and gives a lot about Optimus' character during the movie: hiding from humanity, his moody and self-blaming attitude and distrust to the humans out of fear for the Autobots that are stranded on Earth with him.

It looks like the scene wasn’t finished in time. Aside from the CGI, we didn’t get to see the part where Transit mocks Optimus and shows him a hologram of Autobot soldiers being killed by decepticons. We also didn’t see the part where Optimus throws Transit’s corpse into the Hudson River, revealing a mass grave of dead decepticons. But this is better than nothing and Transit looks badass.

I absolutely see why this was cut. People are saying ‘it’s not that violent’ but that isn’t the point. It’s how Optimus behaves. He twists the blade to get more info, he instantly kills Transit after learning he has no use for him, he even refers to himself as ‘the hunter’. Optimus comes across as more twisted than Transit in this scene.

Its honestly no different than how Prime behaved in the rest of the movie. He's fallible, angry, and has doubts. That and he was out to rip off Scourges head throughout most of the movie in which he did at the end which was more violent than this. Optimus was done playing games by the time of this intro and was looking for anyway to get his Autobots back to Cybertron and the war effort. Which kind of doesn't make sense in the longrun from Bumblebee based on the results in this movie where if he knew they didn't have a way to return why leave in the first place or why didn't they reconfigure or repair their escape pods? If the pods were able to get them to Earth, couldn't they get them back or are they only fit for one use? Its definitely something the movies glossed over and kind of makes Optimus's judgment look poor in the grand scheme of things.

It's a shame they scraped this. It's not even that brutal to cut it. Common, Bayverse Prime was ripped off the fallens face and crushed his spark with his bare hands. Also not to mention that he ripped of Scourge's head after cutting both of his arm off and shoving his sword in his mouth before decapitating him, IN THE SAME MOVIE!! They're more examples such as. Sentinel Prime, Megatron, and Prime Ripping Shockwaves eye out.

Yeah because it actually felt more deserved and satisfying. The bayverse prime comes off being unnecessarily brutal and pyscho. Plus goes against everything that optimus stands for. And this scene just shows it that no one wanted to see. As much as I love transit and he was absolutely awesome in the fight, just the shit optimus prime says and does in this scene just feels so fucking out of character of prime and just feels like bayverse all over again. Plus what happens after this, yeah no. I am happy this wasn't shown. I know he was brutal but he generally had a reasoning and unlike decepticons, scourge is literally nothing more then a demonic being that serves a dark god. Unlike Megatron and sentinel where their deaths were not satisfying at all. Like optimus never averaged jazz, literally died and they forgot. Same with Ironhide, he didn't even get a a funeral. And do to how badly they write the characters in the film and stories, it doesn't help at all. Rotb in the final cut, sure was brutal but definitely nothing like this or bayverse prime.

This scene was insane.... And I hate o say it but I see how this was removed. After all prime in the rest of the movie is a more patient and reasonable leader who doesn't decide that the kill is always necessary. Like I felt the rage in this scene from Optimus and the absolute locked-down mindset he had when it came to escaping this planet. ESPECIALLY THAT ENDING. He felt more villainous instead of the leader looking for answers and ways to make things better. See if they made it to where Optimus HAD to kill this overly violent Decepticon then that would be better than him flat-out losing his temper and shooting him point blank. I like how the fight is similar to that of the Bumblebee film. The opponents use the surroundings to their advantage, they are not just ripping each other up bear handed. You can see Transit use a lamp pole to hit Optimus and Optimus using some debris to hit Transit.

I gotta say I really like how much more realistic Opimus is portrayed now. instead of being a blood thirsty killer, Optimus is a calm and rational leader who is being pushed to his limits mentally and is being to lose his cool.
