Absolutely love this tutorial! I can totally imagine myself flying Aerosucre ops, backtracking a runway in the Colombian countryside, with the window open on a hot, humid afternoon! Definitely getting this 727

Thrilled to hear you'll do a masterclass on this one, can't wait!
@moosestaffa833 ай бұрын
Yep as soon as the systems are working properly, I'll be doing it!

Gj! Really handy. At 32:30 tho, I think you've misread the knobs? Admittedly the CB text is closer to the bottom knob but I'm sure you see the bottom knob also has some text below that says Panel. I don't think these are mislabelled.

By golly you are right... my bad!

Wow this is the BEST tutorial I have ever seen. Thanks so much for explaining everything in such detail. It will help me so much in my flight experience

My pleasure, I will be doing a full Master Class series on this aircraft once some of the system bugs are ironed out

Well done mate, thx !

Really looking forward to the state of the aircraft after a few patches. Right now there's a couple of annoying bugs as-well as pneumatics and electrics just not functioning as expected. Regardless having a great time doing hops with it.

Agree, it's already good, but once they fix some of the system bugs and querks it's going to amazing!

Hi, I love your tutorials! Wanted to ask about DME update but then I got to the part of the vid explaining it. :D So, I leave the first part of this comment here anyways. :)
@moosestaffa832 ай бұрын
DME update isn't yet functional, the devs are working on it I'm told.

Bought this aircraft, but have never once flown it. Spend most of my time in the fenix a320 and the inibuilds a300.

one thing one takeoff, The autobrakes to RTO is on the overhead. IDK if you set it but you didnt mention it in the pre takeoff checks Also, on the little cell phone helper, do you use any of the automated things on the bottom? not the assisted checklist stuff on top but the on and off switches on the bottom? I was curious as to your settings on that. Thanks - eU Ghost 9 (Ghosty)
@moosestaffa833 ай бұрын
Yes I am aware of the auto brakes but many 727's didn't have them and I fly it as if it doesn't. I should have mentioned that in the video. And I don't use any of the automation. More fun that way in my opinion.

I forgot to ask earlier, do you know why the 727 doesn't need any fuel system/pump/valves open to start the APU at the beginning? I thought it came from tank 2 but not sure. Most other planes, you need at least 1 pump to provide fuel to the APU. Does the 727 work differently?
@moosestaffa833 ай бұрын
I don't know for sure, as I still have much reading to do, but the APU in the 727 sits basically in the main gear we'll, therefore the apu is sitting at or below fuel level allowing it to gravity feed. Also, all APUs for the most part have a built in pump allowing them to draw fuel even when a wing pump isn't on. You normally want to make sure you have good fuel source to that apu pump, but since it's at or below fuel level, shouldn't be an issue in the 727.

Hello, I just had one question regarding what might be a bug. When I first loaded the plane, it didn't have the ins system. Instead it has a screen located farther up on the left hand corner of the middle. I don't know if it's because I bought it from contrail or something else, but do you have any knowledge of this or a solution?
@Meadini3 ай бұрын
Never mind, I figured it out. To those curious in the future, when you open up the clipboard which is at the bottom right of the captains leg, you can change the equipment from a GNS530 to CIV-A INS.
@moosestaffa833 ай бұрын
Correct... the INS is the only thing I fly with... if I want GPS I'll fly a modern airliner
@pointerprideaviationandtra47513 ай бұрын
How do I get the autopilot to follow gps on the gtn750?
@moosestaffa833 ай бұрын
Make sure the Nav/GPS switch just under the glareshield is in GPS. Then turn on the Autopilot and select NAV/LOC. You will probably need to be on an intercept course and fairly close to the magenta line for it to work. All that to say there have been a number of reports of certain GPS models not functioning correctly on the aircraft for some. So if it still doesn't work, it may be bugged. The devs are aware of the issues and are working on it.

My God nearly 15 min of intro before you even start any tutorial in the cockpit. 🤯

Well a good portion of that was tips for the aircraft, and also why I put chapter makers in

If you are ever lost or in doubt about the functionality of a system just grab fs2004 and install the Dreamfleet 727 and compare it to this one, DF "Greatest Airliners" title was taken quite literally as their representation of the 727 was the GOAT of all addons that ever existed to this date.
