He's got a pretty good series on The Isle so far to hold us over for a dino fix, not sure how long ago he started playing it but it is one of my favorite series to date (I think he's been playing it more with the newer updates, might have some older episodes though)

Sounds like they used a recording of a crocodile to make the call sounds. They're a lot deeper and more powerful than most people realize. Very cool. Cerato teeth were designed more for cutting and slicing than straight biting, though, and the specimens founded tended to have an almost overbite from the large teeth in the upper jaw. An interesting creature, to say the least, and DANG did it ever look good with that color pattern you chose!

i really hope evrima gets a full on weather system, like storms of varying intensities, some dinos who like rain and some who do worse in it. fog aswell, like proper "i can't see" fog

i’ve seen your progression with this game in the last couple videos, it seems your learning about all the mechanics and having fun. Also, you can actually shake a dino if you are carrying it by the mouth. Pressing lmb while shaking your mouse will thrash your meal. it will reveal organs that will give you a diet

Tip: if you charge bite to the max, it deal a lot of damage but if you try to face tank the charge then it isn't a good ideas especially against two If they chase you with a charge bite, you also charge your bite too and wait untill theirs ran out and then you turn to bite them

Fooster, the nutrients: 3 dots - Carbohydrates S - Protein Lines - Lipids Carbs will help with your stamina and such. Protein helps with damage. Lipids help with scent and nightvision.

make sure you have manual alt bite on in your settings! you’ll deliver a faster bite. unless i just struggled to notice and you do have it on helps a lot 😊

If you like shaking around compis (or other smaller dinosaur) try holding down left mousebutton while you do. Youll actually start threshing the corpse to shake out the organs ^^ Only on dinos (not AI deer and whatnot) that you can comfortably carry though

In the wild, Whales have been teaming up to protect themselves and other creatures from Orcas (Killer Whales). I would love to see something similar with Titanosaurus protecting against T-Rexes/Gigas.

I believe the plan to add larger Dinosaurs is slated to be in the next few updates. the first apex they plan to add is the T-rex, alongside the Trike as it's herbivorous counterpart. really glad you've come back to The Isle. I think you jumped back in at the perfect time!

I should also note, they don't plan to allow T-rex in official servers at first. They'll be available in unofficial servers.

For those not aware it’s important to note the devs wanted to start with the small/mid tier dinos first to help flesh out the ecosystem and get player’s feedback from a variety of dinos rather than having everyone playing as apex. The closest to apex in the game ATM are Dieno and Stego, but their mobility limitations balance them out. I’m looking forward to Dillo since they were my favorite back in legacy. The colors, sounds and build gave me a new appreciation for the Dillo while every other game were just copying the small one from Jurassic Park.

@@thefoosterchannel btw, the next update adds a way better map that the one we are currently on, also brings 2 new dinos and graphic changes. also they completely revamped gallimimus from the most boring creature in the game to one of the funnest. i would love to see it in the next episode

It’s possible we’ll have the gateway map at the time of or before the next major update. It looks like the majority of it is finished, possibly being delayed to work on the migration system mechanics. The toxins from the Dillo are supposed to by hallucinogenic and have more of an impact at night. This toxin is supposedly already finished and just needs testing, so it seems the Dillo is getting more animation work ATM than it is any mechanical needs. I believe they are working on Diablo or Dibble with a horn-locking mechanic as well as Herras climbing ability. When the work for Herras climbing is implemented Hypsi will be getting a tree-climbing mechanic, effectively making their gameplay similar to that of a squirrel. Considering you can already stick food to the inside of their nest it’ll be neat to see a tree with several nests in it.

Awesome video, but here's a tip from something I noticed. Your diet doesn't give any active effects until it's lit up, when it's still faded it's just showing you what you're building based on what you've eaten. You can get crazy with the different combinations, dots is stamina buffs, lines is scent and night vision buffs, and S gives health buffs. Hope this helps if you didn't know! Edit: The bacteria builds on other dinos with each bite, and if you fill up their meter enough they get vomit sickness. It'll make them throw up, so it gives an opening for attacks.

Komodos are very patient predators. They will wait days for an animal they’ve bitten to die from the toxins. Or sometimes just till it’s too weak to resist. I wonder if the cera would have had a similar hunting strategy: bite and wait for the inevitable. Or if the risk of losing their prey to something else would change that.

Fun fact! When you trash around dead animals in your mouth by shaking your dino, that's very unnecessary! Why? Because it's an actual mechanic! Just hold left mouse button and shake your mouse! That way you'll actually throw the dead dino around and the organs will fall out for you to eat! :)

Great video as per usual! Quick question, I know you tried playing as a deino, but will you every try it in a pack? That would be sick to see! Also, can anyone tell me how the smelling/compass works? Like the symbols and the little spikes in the compass?

I’d imagine you figured it out by now but just in case, and for any other readers. Hold q for several seconds to use the scent feature. The up arrow is north. Down arrow is south. After holding scent for a bit (5-10 seconds somewhere.) Icons will start appearing on the compass. Representing food or water sources.

I believe it was Philipe that mentioned in a stream, that rex and trike is planned for either update 7 or 7.5 (there are some isle news channels that has the patch noted), and on official rex is only planned as ai, not playable, but on unofficial servers its up to the host. Next dino coming up, should be herrera

The Rex Will be added but as an AI on official servers. But it will be playable on unofficial it will act like a boss i think on officials. Theu have said the T Rex is pretty much done but they don't want it added in yet.
