I believe Bale will sit out his contract and then retire from football at the highest level. I don't think many clubs would want to burn their fingers on him and I don't believe football is what he loves first and foremost. He might still play at lower level (even mid-tier prem clubs), but I think he'll only go to a club where he gets the freedom to pretty much do as he pleases. As that is what he seems to have gotten used to at Madrid. He shows up and does just enough. Even when playing for Wales he seems unhappy on the pitch. Yes he makes fun with his teammates both on and off the pitch, but he seems to enjoy the team, the group. Not the game. Despite being an excellent player and I used to love to see him play back at the Spurs, I think he has sadly lost the joy in football. Ofcourse I can't see in his head and I'd love for him to succeed at a big club. I'd love for him to prove me and everybody else wrong and shoot the Spurs to silverware. Sadly, I just don't see it happening
