Salah has 332 goals/assists in 7.5 seasons. Henry had 324 goals/assists in 8 seasons for arsenal (ignoring his 2nd spell loan season to make this comparison more fair) That really sums up how salah is in the conversation of new goat debate. Some braindead henry fans here are commenting that salah can't be compared to henry because of "eye test". what on earth is this subjective eye test? Can we say neymar, hazard is better than henry? If everything goes right....by the end of this season salah will have 2 pl titles (same as henry), 3 pfa player of the year (same as henry), 3 fwa footballer of the year (same as henry), 4 golden boot (same as henry)! So by the end of 8 seasons salah and henry will have the same no. of pl titles and awards! The only thing differentiating them is goals/assists and salah have them more. So logically speaking, salah will be the new goat after this season if salah ends up with the same no. of titles and awards. Salah is also better in big matches as he has the 2nd most g/a against big 6 teams and he won a ucl too (and could've won another if he wasn't injured by ramos) whereas henry's ucl stats are horrible by his standard.

Salah is actually at 94% for his goal involvements with Liverpool. The 90% number is with Chelsea stats as-well so slightly miss leading there. Liverpool have a tradition of trying to maintain continuity when changing managers. The bootroom provided that from Shankly to Uncle Bob to Joe Fagan to player-manager Dalglish. Souness didnt work out but the intention remained. Then Roy Evans was promoted from the bootroom. So of all clubs, arguably Liverpool have sought to maintain continuity of playing style and ethos more than any other. Slot was hired because Edwards & co realised his style could continue from Klopp's. Liverppol are going back to what they used to do when they were the dominant force in England and Europe in the 70's & 80's. So far it's looking good but the season is not half way through yet.

We Smashed Liverpool 4-1 in 2017 at Wembley ( when new stadium under construction ), the game Klopp realized major concerns he needs. That summer he bought Allison and VDV! Spurs had chances to win through years, even at Anfield, and did get some draws. I grew up watching Dalglish, who for me is the best LFC player in history, apart from Mo Salah! We've had some phenomenal players who are forgotten now. I've seen Gerrard & Dalglish on the pitch in many games, & I believe King Kenny is better, and other players imo are very close to Gerrard, but they're my top 3, Salah being the goat. i think this whole “its who we are mate” thing is Anges gimmick to try and make himself a bigger personality in the football world. and to be fair, it has actually worked because everyone is talking about him all the time. in reality only maybe two or three coaches have a luxury to play with this kind of mentality and Pep Guardiola is one of them even Arteta isn’t afforded this. Slot changed Liverpools way of playing quite a bit. Passing from the back, players keeping shape of team, staying in positions much more, a lot lot more possession play, better set pieces, different training regime while keeping the essence of Klopps pressing. Underestimate Slot at your own risk.
