You shouldn’t feel ashamed. You aren’t the heartless person shooting them down. I’d assume a lot of it is down to the fact it’s hard to enforce the laws that protect the birds because of the state the Lebanese government is in. I’m sure many Lebanese people would be upset by this.

Besides the obvious stupidity and futility in shooting these birds they obviously also put civilians at risk and those stray bullets can end up rather far from where you are shooting them and injuring and sometimes killing people.
