I'm not a big fan of the winsor and newton watercolor set here. I just don't know why. It doesn't jive for me. A lot of artists have good things to say about it but I don't like it...
@thefrugalcrafter9 ай бұрын
This isn't winsor & Newton, it is a Portable Painter with the water buckets removed. It is filled with QoR paint mainly. I mentioned that the slim pans in the front will not fit the small W&N cotman sketches box but they will fit in the larger WN Cotman studio palettes. @@DeshArt

We started with a small 3 bedroom ranch. Then a 4 bedroom Victorian money pit while our kids grew up. I now live in a small story and half bungalow which is perfect for me, and i have an extra bedroom for company. No turret, but i do have a very big garage!!😊 great paintjngs today. You inspire us every time you post a video.

I really like idea of griding the paper Into smaller bites. Thank you for the wonderful demonstration and great tips. You are always such a joy. I have all the graphitint products but never even thought about just adding water soluable graphite to paint. It would really expand your color choice endlessly. I love that tinted graphite look. It looks vintage Asian to me.

Thank you so much for sharing your templates! I've started doing this and absolutely love it. We are wintering in Arizona so I do a page for each place, park, or attraction we visit. Breaking up the page makes it so much easier to do small snips of the day and it's less daunting than a big space to fill!

Hi, wanted to get all your sketchbook floozy stencils. Buying all 4 brought me under the $40 free shipping because of discount order all 4. Had to pass as the shipping was almost $20 making my total over $50. 😮 Guess ill be using a ruler n make my own. Thought youd might like to know how over the top shipping is.
@thefrugalcrafter9 ай бұрын
Oh shoot, I've been hearing that. It's too bad there wasn't anything else you needed from craft stash to put it over the free shipping mark. They also had 10% off $50 so you could save more. I know their free shipping threshold is usually higher so I wanted people to know about the lower threshold. They ship from UK and it is pricy.

I love this page and your stencils but I'm trying to figure out what sizes are best! I have a Portable Painter question. I'd like to get more half pans so I can swap colors in and out depending on what I'm doing. Do standard half pans fit? If not, what to order? I'm ordering one for a dried giraffe palette along with some DS gouache now that they've added more colors!😉
@thefrugalcrafter9 ай бұрын
You can get extra half pans from portable painter. Winsor newton half pans fit too because they are tapered. It's tough to know if they will fit or not but if you ate shopping amazon look for a tapered one.
@tammylanglois26029 ай бұрын
Do the slim pans fit in the center channel of the meeden 48 metal tin?

Hey lindsay I have a couple new color mixed i wanted to recommend.... W&N AQUA GREEN w/ PV 55, it can look like a extremely luminous indanthrone blue/violet. Also PV55 with indian red.... Aqua Green w/ indian red.... and I know you don't really like W&NC Alizarin Crimson but if you mix PV 55 with it, it makes a very likely red violet. Pv55 w/ indian red. And the last one was 3.... Aqua Green, PV55, and Indian red for a nice purple grey. I recommend splashing clean water on them or use salt. I was just seeing what I could do with pv55, I think its more useful than dioxazine violet and mixed are more vibrant.
