I'm accused of stealing 1,400 worth of merchandise from work and they said it could be a felony so what do is your advise and what do you think the sentence could be? Should I plead or trial? So I could get a plea deal?

If a person goes into the peach orchard of Farmer Jones and picks a peach off the tree and eats it, has the person committed a larceny? The person trespassed. The person took the peach off the tree. By eating the peach, the person permanently deprived the owner of that peach. Is that larceny according to the common law?
