Some lovely fish Lubin. How far do you have to travel from home for your fishing? I bought a tub of a hundred big European night crawlers last year and kept them well fed in a bin for a month before I used them. They laid lots of eggs and I've probablty used several hundred from the original purchase. I wish the rest of my financial forays panned out like that :) Happy New Year. Keep them coming!

Much appreciated! My closest fishing is about 30 minutes away which is handy. Great to hear about the worms, I've just setup a big old bath tub for that exact reason!

@@thefullscale-fishingadvent2917 I have mine in tubs in an old cool room I built years ago. I have damp whole newspapers on top and a light with an LED globe left on in the room all the time. I was advised to do that early on because if things aren't ideal for any reason they'll crawl out and bugger off in the dark. Don't let your bathtub get waterlogged. I went out this morning to cut phragmites reed for a roof I'm thatching over a work area. Didn't take any bait but could see some huge carp next to where I was working. Took a while but I finally found a patch of huge scrub worms in the grass roots under recent flood debris. Caught one big fish but pulled the hook trying to lift it up a vertical bank. Brought home a couple of hundred beaut worms. Will use them next week on Lake Burrendong- mostly going after big redfin, but will take whatever I can get :) Cheers mate.. Jay.

Done this same thing myself mate. I went to anaconda and paid $18 for a tub of worms and when I got out fishing I found 14 bloody worms in it. So I went online and got 70 worms for $36. Made a DIY worm bin for about $30. I reckon there’d have to be 300+ worms in there now even after using a bunch. Definitely advise anyone to do this same thing.

@@ParkedKar I bought a tub of one hundred most excellent works from Jan Juc worms- as used by Robbie Alexander- Robbie fishing. They also sell worm eggs- or more correctly egg cases- about four hundred in a tub if I remember correctly. They grow fast- follow the instructions :) And speaking of growing fast- I put a hundred little catfish fingerlings in my dam mid January last year. The best of them now are about 300 mils long and that's just with the food they've found for themselves in the dam. They're good eating- but not ready yet.

HNY Lubin. A bit unusual to see you bait fishing but a successful session anyway with some good quality Yellas taking the worms. Do you ever use shrimp on a paternoster rig?

Grouse fishing lubin, how long would you stay at one snag before moving on fishing this style compared to how many fish? As in was this a couple hour session or a full day ? Cheers

Thanks man! usually 10 minutes is the rule of thumb. This was just a 2-3 hour session but had plenty going on thankfully!

By far my favourite fishing is to catch yellowbelly I think they hit bait and lures harder than anything else I've ever experienced
