I was 5 years old when this movie came out and it was one of my mom's favorite uplifting movies so I knew like all of the words from a young age. It's meant to draw our attention to how similar Meg Ryan and Rosie O'Donnell's characters to Rita Wilson's character. Ryan describes Wilson as a "hoe" to O'Donnell at on point and then immediately admits she seems someone she and O'Donnell would be friends with.
