Part of the reason why boots and wellies feel cold is that they are damp particularly when you wear them all day day after day. Try using a cheap boot drier, I have a £20 one from amazon, they have a programmable timer I use it for 15 mins after I take my boots off and in really cold weather for 10 mins before I put them on in the morning. Basically its like a two headed hair dryer and blows in hot air. You will find with dry boots you don't get smelly feet and your feet are not cold. I would also suggest trying good socks, I like merino wool boot socks as these are very warm but breathe unlike regular socks or thermal ones that are polyester are either so hot your feet get too hot or thin and cold.

Great video! Those wellies look like they are comfy. My problem with getting any footwear and especially outdoor/safety gear is I take size 4!

Just wait till Harry's old enough to go down the Pub. He could make a fortune as a comedian with his deadpan face and all the stories he will have. Best wishes to you and all the family Richard. Lets all hope for a better New Year. And Thanks for all the smiles you've given us in 2022.

I think dairy acid knackers your fancy wellies. I remember when Nora wellies were the best about and they lasted until the tread was wore out - which wasn’t long milking 300 cows in a 24/48 parlour on your own 😂

I’ve got Bekina steplite x wellies and I absoloutly love em! So comfortable for me! And when it’s really really cold I have bama boot sokets which are very very warm!!

Harry is a absolute star, welly’s look great. When I was milking back in the day, I swore by Dunlop Argyles the only problem was they only came in three quarter leg height. So when I would be washing down the parlour or washing cluster’s in the big washing trough the water ran down the water proof apron straight down my lovely Dunlops, happy days. Happy New year to all the family and get well soon 😎🇬🇷

Modern wellies are rubbish. Llama urine rots mine very quickly especially in the winter when regularly cleaning out the stables. What happened to the good old ‘gum boots ‘ of yesteryear?

Happy New Year from Somerset, my Dad had new wellies for Christmas and because of his fallen arches he made some insoles from old wellies to counteract that and they would be transferred from one pair to the next

My father had similar feet and he could never find a comfortable pair of gumboots, so he only ever wore the worn out work boots that had moulded to his foot and towards the end of his life he just wore slippers which was quite interesting when challenged with a leaking pipe!

Harry was the star of this VLOG!!!! He cracked me up. In regard to wellies, I have a pair of Hunter wellies, bought in the UK that I've had and hacked for 22 years. Amazing!!! They are a bit faded these days but are so comfortable that I threatened my hubby that one day I'll wear them to bed.

Have you tried wellies with felt inserts, you could trim the felt where your bump is. I use a pair here in the USA and the only downside is you have to hold the boot and felt together when inserting your foot, you can't just slide in

Sadly we tried your new wellies on the farm but hard to dry out. We use nothing but Dunlop Thermo and in passing maybe you should consider safety wellies for your lads who work on the farm. Health & Safety over here in N.Ireland is strict :)

Agree, no matter what work wellies I buy they have to be full S5 safety, steel midsole & toecap. Had an incident 30 years back where i got my foot stuck in machinery, would have lost all my toes if I wasn't wearing steel caps. Lesson learned.
