Just remember that this is a *different* Groot than the full grown Groot we saw in the first movie. James Gunn said that he did intentionally give them different bodies to differentiate the two Groots. He was 100% CGI for both the Holiday Special and GotG3.

I cant remember if it was Gunn who said it or just something people theorized, but I saw online somewhere that one reason he turned out so differently (especially at the end) was because he spent his adolesence with huge beefy men like Drax and Thor. So he emulated them and got bigger than his "father" did.

I didn't get MCU figures until Black Panther II and I didn't get Groot, but I can't afford the Volume 3 figures. That's the long and short of it. I'm saving my MCU figure money for Marvels.

I got my first Marvel Legends deluxe figure in 20th Anniversary Hulk. It was $50 on Amazon and I got it. He was going for $60 plus on eBay so I jumped on Amazon. The super annoying thing is he went down to $45 days after I bought him but whatever 😒. I really like the figure, he's what I consider the definitive Hulk figure for my Avengers team. This Groot looks awesome and those wings look so nice, great video 👍

I still haven't seen GotG 3 (I'm just busy... and lazy, and kinda checked out of the MCU) but the figures look solid. This Groot especially with all of the sculpted detail! Seems like Hasbro really pulled out all the stops for this one, only thing it could really use is a wash. The baby Rocket is okay, but I kinda like the smaller one you showed off. Sculpt work just stands out more. Completely agree, this should've been the BAF, and Cosmo packed with Rocket. I can't think of a single time a regular-sized figure was the BAF and it *didn't* come off like kind of a cheap move.

Honestly, while I've enjoyed the movies since Endgame, none have really grabbed me with the rewatch factor until GOTG3. I NEED to see it again in the theater, and then ready to fine tooth comb it once it hits Disney+. Do a marathon of all three.

I've been holding out on buying the whole wave because they are abundant right now and should hit clearance eventually, but after seeing the movie, I got Rocket and couldn't resist getting Mantis. Definitely need that Starlord, but I'm counting on him being easy to find later. Cosmo is a wonderfully sculpted figure too! So yeah, I'm all-in, eventually.

I am Groot? I am Groot. Translation: Did you know that they included generic stun guns for Star-Lord that are based on the single one he used during the Orgosphere heist instead of his Quad Blasters? And even though the pants portions above the boots on Rocket's lower legs are shown painted blue on his render on the box, they didn't paint them on the figure and left mismatched blue hinges with the molded black lower legs.

MS Groot is a nice stand in for king size. Groot was falling with style. G3 figures are sweet. I agree BAF. Besides Fortnite gliding wings. I want tendrils with guns to murder amoral scientists.

GOtG3 had my whole group of friends crying from beginning to end. Rare that a movie can affect people so drastically like that nowadays. It was a real triumph. Easily the best Marvel Movie since No Way Home. Gunn went out with a bang!
