For me it wasn't the resolution upgrade that was the biggest draw from the Quest 2 to the Quest 3. It was the change of lens type from Fresnel to Pancake. I never liked the bloom that you got with the Rift or Quest 2 with bright lights bleeding into dark zones. The Quest 3 eliminates this almost completely. It's a 10/10 upgrade from me. Can't wait for the Quest 4 :-).

The pass through have gotten alot better since you filmed this as its now on v66 and and v67 software update bring it Inline with vision pro in terms of window layout and we will be able to have upto 6 windows open instead of the standard 3 so it will be mich better for multi tasking than it is currently

I have the same head strap for my quest 2. Really is a great head strap, the battery improves the balance. When i get around to affording the quest 3 i will get the attachments that allows me to use the strap on the quest 3.

Meta has updated the AR in the quest 3 a few times since I first got it. I’m sure it will be as good as apple or as much as we need very soon. I had a quest 2 and loved it but I love the 3 more.

I have had my Quest 3 for (not sure months, 6?) and I continue to be amazed by it. Been doing a lot of golfing with a club accessory, I keep having to stop from soreness (I'm older). I just played my first PCVR game yesterday, unbelievable!! I'm starting to wonder how they can sell the Quest 3 so cheap.

The Meta Quest2 was an Oculus Quest2 when it was released back then. Many people on the diverse Facebook forums referred to their Oculus, even many months after its name was changed. Nowadays I hardly see that, it's called Quest2 or Quest3, depending on the headset.... finally.l And... comparing the Quest3, which is a multifunctional VR/AR device with that Vision Pro which by Apple is not allowed being called a VR headset is like comparing apples with pears.

My advice if you are thinking about getting a pro is don’t go into the apple shop for a demo with your wallet. I was interested but knew I wouldn’t buy at that price point. I managed to try one a few weeks back and Its staggering quality. I would have bought one there an then if they were released here. Now a few weeks later having calmed down I realised it would have been the most expensive impulse purchase ever

They do, they just have to talk for those that know nothing about VR. If they spoke like most techie/gamers then some non lingo people would get puzzled and lose interest.

They did a decent comparison review, but I think they undercut the Quest 3 a bit. I'm not sure when they reviewed it tho.
