Tomb Raider, also known as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider from 2001 to 2008, is a media franchise that originated with an action-adventure video game series created by British gaming company Core Design. Formerly owned by Eidos Interactive, then by Square Enix Europe after Square Enix's acquisition of Eidos in 2009, the franchise focuses on the fictional British archaeologist Lara Croft, who travels around the world searching for lost artefacts and infiltrating dangerous tombs and ruins. Gameplay generally focuses on exploration of environments, solving puzzles, navigating hostile environments filled with traps, and fighting enemies. Underworld was peak, everything about it was amazing from the puzzle solving, to the parkour, to the beautiful scenery detail, cutscenes as well as Lara herself. A complex but simple game to play. I'll always have my heart for it.

I was so deeply captivated by TR Legend, Anniversary, Underworld... I can't believe it's already 6 years without Tomb Raider! From what I remember, I thought the longest period without TR was after Underworld ; between Underworld and TR 2013 (reboot).... but it is actually now 😢

I'll never forget playing TR for the frst time back in 96. I was blown away by it, the music, the adventure and even the graphics at the time. It's come a long way, with many ups and downs a long its journey. I'm currently playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider on PC on ultra settings with ray tracing. No dbout it's stunning to look at but I feel the game has lost it's way some what. I keep coming back though. Great compilation, well done.

It's true that today's games are very beautiful, but there's nothing more to them. The developers only focus on the visuals. The first and second Tomb Raider are my favorites even today. It looks ugly to today's eyes, but the atmosphere and the music that played sometimes made up for everything. I'm sorry this is the way the gaming industry is headed.

I mean, seriously, playing it for the first time thanks to the remaster I'm amazed at how good the game is. The reboot of the series was really fantastic. Laura's character felt so alive, more so than most any other character. All of the little mannerisms and facial expressions her character model would make moving about the world,. Little things like wringing her hair out when she'd get out of the water. Even the newer Assassin's Creed games, good as those characters were, didn't 'feel' like a real person more than Laura in the reboot did in terms of how the character model moved and interacted with the world they were in.

For me, Tomb Raider has always been a PC series, and it still is. All games available and with the best graphics. The console-exclusive games of Metal Gear and Resident Evil killed these series. I can say that Tomb Raider is the oldest active series that has not been distorted

My kids played tomb raider in1998 when there were little and I thought yer ok and then my other 2 younger kids, who were born in 2008 we're playing this too in 2018 and I wasn't interested thinking of the 98 graphics Until I seen the new graphics. As the story goes, Lara Croft loses her mother in her childhood in a temple from Nepal. Throughout the first game, she is searching for the fragments of Excalibur sword. In the end, after crafting the sword, Lara confronts her old friend Amanda, who she thought was dead. Thus, Lara opens a portal and tries to communicate with her mother from the past, telling her "Don't touch the sword!". Unfortunately, she fails to achieve her goal and save her mother, as Amanda shouts at the same time "Get out the sword!". In the next game, Lara Croft discovers the story of the queen of Atlantis Natla and her evil plans to destroy the world. Thus, in Tomb Raider Anniversary, Lara Croft is in search of 3 relics called scion, each belonging to a god of the order of the 3, and confronts Natla and her team members. In the last game, Tomb Raider Underworld, Lara Croft is once again in search of some relics that belongs to the god of thunder Thor, relics that she uses to obtain Thor's hammer and defeat Natla in the final battle in Avalon. I'm sorry to offend you, but I personally have played these games dozens of times and hundreds of hours since childhood. These Lara Croft games filled my childhood with joy. I also inform you that some of them can be played with mods. Try to do a general review of these games and after that draw the conclusion.
