Reading the Bible helps me when I'm feeling low. Ik that might sound a bit boring/out of touch but literally a chapter in the book of Psalms really helps. Most of those chapters aren't that long either. Worth a try. It's all free and online, if you don't have a physical Bible. Thanks for the update and glad you're still alive and made it through that, man. It gets rough, but remember that suicide attempt survivors always talk about the regret they felt the moment they tried to go through with it. That helped me keep going too. Jeremy, I understand exactly what u talking about, a friend of mine took his own life last year, and man....I felt worthless cause I couldn't do anything to help him, I acctually didn't know he was going through that level of depression, like u said we don't open to each other about those deep feelings. But if those thoughts come back, man think in those u love because u're also their source of happiness and for those who stay, is hard without the people u cherish and care, speacelly when they go like that. But stay firm and just keep doing what u do because is a bless for a whole bunch of us. I feel for you for losing your car and depression. Several years back, I lost my job, car, and girlfriend in the same month. Took me a long time to get out of that funk. I couldn't imagine dealing with that while having a following of thousands upon thousands wondering where I'm at and why I'm not entertaining them. Crazy. I got over the funk and am happily married now, but now I deal with constant pain from issues with my back and legs that have made me disabled since 2014. In fact, I'm the guy who sent you that internal hardrive for your PS4 a few years back as a thank you for all the entertainment and laughs you provided me during physical therapy and on the days I can barely move. I've never flirted with the idea of self "checking out", but I can understand why and how others may get to that point. Life can become overwhelming at times, but I'm happy that you're still putting up a good fight. You matter. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve been in that deep funk before and sometimes it comes back every now and then, but for me it’s a constant ebb and flow of down periods and up periods. The one thing that helped me was the notion that the shit times aren’t permanent , they will always eventually come to an end. Hey man, totally feel you about the deep funk recently. I have pretty bad seasonal affect disorder and recently had my grandma pass away from Covid. Along with not going outside much or talking to people (also due to Covid), any bit of enthusiasm I had for finding a new job was put on the wayside. Hoping that a consistent exercise routine and longer daylights will help things out a bit here.

Vulnerability is the biggest strength we have, I've had many periods where I felt like, what am I doing with my life, most of my friends don't live in the same state as me anymore, no girlfriend, endless cycle of the same thing everyday, like you mentioned, but then talking to my Mom really lifted me from that dark place. It's a cycle, the ups and downs, but talking with loved ones is the biggest gift we have.

Fitness helps me relieve stress and it levels me out emotionally. It also helps me to focus on fitness goals and to do what it takes to attain them. My stomach fell when u said “I don’t like what I see in the mirror”, my brother took his own life at 25 years old this December 3rd and that quote was part of the message he left. Jeremy, Ima be honest with you man. I've been watching you for like 11/12 years, and sorry to hear about your inner struggles. Life can be tough sometimes. I think one advice I would give you is to think about what is your purpose in life. If you're feeling like life is meaningless, maybe a deep search on what actually brings happiness and a purpose in life. I'm sure you've done this already many times, and it's not an easy question to answer. But this happiness or fulfillment won't come from success in KZbin/Twitch, etc. Were we all just born and put on earth to get money, enjoy some nice things, and then die? No - and what keeps me going is knowing the purpose of life which I get through religion. As a Muslim, we are basically taught life is a test, and although you can enjoy things within limits in life, you should be working on getting close to God as this brings ultimate fulfillment and that the next life is the "true" life. I think you shouldn't feel the need to force yourself to put out 2-3 videos a week - or else it will just start to become a chore. Also want to give you props for speaking about this openly - I've seen pretty much all of your videos over these years, and you've been pretty open about a lot of stuff. Just wanted to say my piece, and hopefully you can get out of this.
