This may be my favorite FF7 trailer ever. It showed me everything I every could want and then the development team's statements that dropped after the trailer had me even more hyped. 100 hours of gameplay!? Side missions/quests that you can return to and are given a lot of attention?? I seriously cannot wait. I'm definitely taking off a whole week from work to play this game.

The weapon is Saphire Weapon, the one that dies hit by Junon's canon, ppl forget it exists cause it shows up, gets shot in the head and that's it. The weapons are 5, Saphire, Emerald (which you fight underwater), Ruby (which you fight in the Gold Saucer desert), Diamond (which is part of the main story and you fight when you return to Midgard) and Ultima (which you fight multiple times)

Vincent is like one of the most popular FF characters ever and has a lot of significance and connection to Hojo, one of the primary antagonists of the FF7 universe. Why the hell would he not come back?

I feel like I'm the only person who WANTS FF7:R to be on rails. Open worlds get so boring, especially when they serve no purpose but to add 5 minutes of running between each quest/battle. The open world in the original FF7 was fine because you could mostly just ignore it. It was just a mostly empty field you'd pass through to get to your objectives so it didn't matter beyond making the world feel bigger. People are so against linear games nowadays but I loved FF7R because it struck the perfect balance of being a linear game while not feeling like a corridor simulator.

I wonder how expensive the full remake is going to end up being once they're all out. at the rate it's going, I'm going to guess around 350-400€/$ for the remake of a single game. But to be fair, ppl are more than willing to pay 10x the price of the original for the remake, so... hat's off to Squenix. They have mastered the art of being celebrated for gouging ppl.

Well...they are putting out a "twinpack" (FF7 Remake Intergrade + Rebirth) for like $70. So, people can basically get part 1 for FREE along with your pre-order. That hardly smacks of excessive/exploitative practices to me. Three discs of PS1 content really isn't in any way equivalent to what this project represents in its entirety at these production values. In light of that, and given the amount of content all three would present, your speculated upon price wouldn't necessarily be an unethical travesty on its face. A comparison I sometimes like to give: In 1995 Phantasy Star IV for the Genesis retailed at about $100. That's about $202 adjusted for inflation. Not that I think a non-collector's edition of the whole trilogy in one box would retail for anywhere near that price! Now, the pricing on those collector's editions... that's a whole other matter. Lol. Yikes.

@@GMD3N I responded to OP mainly to make the point that I don't think Square is structuring the remake project the way they are in order to price gouge consumers. That doesn't seem to be supported by the facts of the past few years or new emerging facts either. I do, however, see the CE as a little exorbitant given that the Deluxe is a cool $100, with the only real difference being the big statue. That's why I go for the Deluxe every time. It's not that I can't afford the CE, necessarily. There was no reason to reply with a rude comment over something so trivial in the overall scheme of things. Stop being an asshole. It's never too late...
