If you didnt know the chest trap works because when it says chest refill in zed time, thats a hologram above a invisible armor stand and instead of being able to break or place blocks your interacting with the entity/armor stand.

This is the real way how you do it: Break the chest and build a wall around it. Then get kB rod and lure ppl. Hit them into the hole below where the chest is. At last, put a chest on top of it(you may have to open the chest once)

whats funny is that this trap is really old but no one really does it at all, it stems from the old uhc Forge Trap. Basically u get them in a 1x2 hole and u put the forge on top of their head and they can't get out. A forge is basically a furnace that autosmelts 10 ore for you. It has the same mechanic as the chest.

The reason you can’t break blocks under the chest is because the timer until the chest resets is actually a armor stand with a name tag. What happens is that the armor stand bottom half is in your hitbox making it so you can’t break any blocks or hit anything. The same hing applies to the forge trap in UHC.

I think if you put a pressure plate on the cactus and connect that to a piston that puts the block in place, it will both look less sus and help the trap work better.

I was grinding spiders when I saw this video, and then I realized all the storages were full and wanted to throw out the spider eyes, but that would lag the game a bit as well as (I think) make spiders spawn less since entity cap, so I have to destroy the spider eyes and my brain goes: *c a c t u s* I didn't find cactus's because in survival, cactuses are still essentially worthless (contrary to this video), but I was able to find a fire charge, then accidently lit the trap door leading into the spawner, found 2 more, and apparently didn't learn my lesson since I lit it on fire again, but I took the second (well third technically) and was able to burn the eyes of my victims
